Default New sub box coming out for the Z! (You can see it at the HB meet!)

Okay, here's the deal. I work for http://woofersetc.com, and we carry Ground Shaker boxes; I had the owner of the company design a box for the Z. It doesn't look exactly like the regular Zenclosures boxes, but it's an under-strut box that accommodates larger woofers. It's going to be for 2x 10" woofers. Anyone who wants to pick one up locally, I will be able to get you a good price on on it! If you want to check it out, I will be at the HB meet; just look for the '06 SS with black MRR GT1 rims and a Ground Shaker box in the back.

I just wanted to throw this out to you guys, so you can check it out. It will be fairly priced (I don't know pricing yet, but I will let you know ASAP)

We will also be shipping the box as well, it will be listed on the site soon. I will make a post in regards to this later on.

Post pics or it didn't happen

Nice - but most importantly what is the interior volume of the box?

I'm expecting it to be 0.8 to 1.0 per woofer at least. I'll have to take measurements as soon as I get it, I haven't gotten a finalized box yet (getting it tomorrow)

Here we go, pics! Looks like it's more than 1 cubic foot, I'd say from what it looks like, at LEAST 1.2-1.4 cu. ft per chamber.

Looks like a well built box but it looks weird the way it sits and well just about everything about it.

You put any subs in it that's all that matters.

I know it looks weird; but it sounds absolutely terrific. The Zenclosures boxes have really low airspace and small cutout, so you can't fit a lot of subs in them, and they don't sound as good. This has a ton more airspace and a much bigger cutout, so nearly any sub should fit. It sounds great, wonderful low-end response on the subs I put in.

They're made by TC Sounds (now known as Audiopulse), they're the older TC-1000's. They're f'in good sound quality.

I have to agree not feeling the look of it. It almost looks like it does not even belong or made for a Z.

OP,

Sorry man. The idea was cool but the execution looks....well...sloppy. The angles are too sharp and it looks like poo compared to a Zenclosure. Especially since Mike now has a 2x 12" box that will still leave enough room to use the bungee straps under the strut-bar.

You should check it out and and take some pointers:
