I like what nissan has done with the GTR but I'd choose a r34 anyday over the r35. The one thing that bugs me is the GTR here is considered a super car but I just can't justify the GTR as a super car with a v6. I wish the actual exterior design was different as some of the lines of the GTR does not do it for me but the performance of this car has really got my attention.

yeah no doubt the performance impresses everyone, however i wish it did look a little more exotic.

The F360 Modena (one of the prettiest cars on the planet, in my opinion) looks like a 100K car. A 1999 Ferrari F355 Spyder looks and sounds like a 100K car. The Porsche GT3/GT3RS looks like a 100K car. The GT-R just does not have that same special something that makes you think 100K car.

That being said, the performance is clearly that of a 100K car and that is were the personal dilemma begins for me. I can appreciate what is can do, but really and not wow'd by how it looks while doing it. For 100K, I want it to stir my soul as well as my human senses. I want to look in the garage and still be anxious to take her out for a spin.

Let me put this in terms that most males can understand:
F360 = Geisha
Porsche GT3 = **** Star
F355 = Kissing *****
GT-R = That psycho chick that gives the best BJ you ever had...but you really don't want to be seen with her. When you get right down to it, she is really just a booty call with whom you would much rather have the lights out.

Just my
You are comparing $200K and $300K cars to a $100K GT-R.

I would hope a $300K Ferrari looks like ATLEAST a $100K car.

I'm talking about new prices, with mark up, since that is the real world we live in, comparing used Ferrari's to a New GT-R is not the same.

My other car is well over $70K, and my brake jobs are free

so what is the big deal about GTR ? ............ it 's HP, performance, unique or just be the first to have it ?

alot of the 350z here have over 500 to 600whp.

in my opinion I still think the looks of the 350z is still better than a GTR...

Its the new action figure fad....but w/ something a lot more $$. To me its not even a GTR....just a another boosted VQ w/ a unique design. But hey, its new, and its the hot ticket now so best of luck to those who took out a second mortgage to pay for this thing that they won't be able to have fun modding for at least a year. And you can bet that the 1st round of lame bolt-on/ stick-on mods are going to major $$$. I can picture it now..everyone will be raving over 300 $ eyelids for this thing for like 3 months on the forums. ****...you can't even change the wheels on this thing w/o tripping the ECU up and to get this thing flashed - well be prepared to cash in your WIC coupons.

hehe4, you make my decision tougher. From what I've gathered, average markup has been around 30k.

that reminds me of the shelby mustangs I saw at Huntington Long Beach last year.

sticker price of 45-50k depending on options, with +30k markup totalling 80k. Said it straight up on the window.
