i was holding my tank trying to prevent the rock from sending it over... if it would've fell on me i would have seriously died! lucky there are no cracks in the stand. man, 320 gallons salt water on the carpet would have changes a few things around this camp.

They've been saying that for years, but it's really never happened... and their timeline on tracking quakes only goes back so far... so to accurately predict a big one, is simply impossible. I say just be prepared, know you're roll and what to do in case of a big one, and live on...

Wow really? I was at Fullerton JC and no one bothered to close sh*t down.....

I was in the 700 building (very old) on the second floor...watching a movie on neandrathals. and cavemen when the projector started to shake...one girl screamed...my friend did the duck and cover like quick status....everyone else just was like............ummm....ok....

It wasnt bad though. But everyone outside using their phones and none of them working......very funny but surreal moment.

the southern san andreas fault area is long, long overdue. historical documents show major quakes every 150-200 years. the last one happened in like.. 1680. the 'plates' making up the earth's crust are constantly moving, shifting. seismic activity is an everyday norm, we just tend to not feel most of the tremors.

"An earthquake is the shaking of the ground caused by an abrupt shift of rock along a fracture in the Earth, called a fault. Within seconds, an earthquake releases stress that has slowly accumulated within the rock, sometimes over hundreds of years...."

Iv been in virginia for the past week and while the earthquake was going on. After I saw what happen on breaking news on tv here, I called my bro back in san gabriel to see if everything was ok and he told me "while it was happening, I was taking a crap in the bathroom and thought I was just laying a big one, but 10 seconds later is when I finally realize it wasn't me, it wasn't so bad".... I laughed my *** off...
