LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Police have arrested a 19-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a three-car street race in northeast Los Angeles that led to the deaths of three people, including a pregnant woman and a 12-year-old girl.
Police spokeswoman April Harding said Thursday the suspected driver was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the previous night's crash, which also left two others critically injured.
The woman and girl were killed when their Nissan Maxima slammed
into a tree on Colorado Boulevard in the Eagle Rock neighborhood.
Three men were thrown from the car.
One was killed and two others hospitalized.
Police say officers found victims and body parts in the street when they arrived.
Officials are seeking a third driver in the suspected street race.

street racing is stupid. that is why you shouldn't do this. now the cops will be more tight with cars that are modified. should always keep these thing on the track.

Wow.... 20 years old, with what they said a full-term pregancy... And also a patite 12-16 year old girl in the back seat? Come on people please have common sence. I have sped on the street once and a while, but never with my girlfriend or daughter in the car...

The latest update on this is that it may have been road rage, not a street race.
Assume that's based on info from the guy who was arrested.
