Anyone know of any indoor mosquito traps that are cheap and actually work? I googled it and it came up with traps that cost nearly $100, some are even $200! I'm getting so sick of these mosquitos b/c they just get into the house from the garage and has been annoying the living hell out of me.

 

dude, i get the same problem... but i'm in korea. and these bitches come through the vents and under the doors. i woke up last night @ 3am cuz 3 mosquitos were biting the **** out of me. so i spent another hour hunting those bastards down. that reminds me, one of them is still alive...

I remember in Taiwan, we have these indoor traps that were made of LEDs, and they were cheap as hell!

Too troublesome... I need a solution by tonight or I might have to sleep in the car.. Seriously. I am getting so sick of them flying around my ears making that sound. And I don't wanna be buying dozens of garlics and putting them around my room & eating them.

 

When I lived in Sri Lanka we used to have things called Vapes (http://vape-repellants.com/cgi-bin/online/store.php) the one we used was the one that takes the tablets. You plug the thing in, drop a tablet on the top, it heats up and the pesky ******* die!

 

Can you please clarify and elaborate? Is it a trap? Does it actually work?

I've tried searching but couldn't find anything. I'm one who get pretty nasty reactions on the skin.

The electronic bug killer via bulb works but actually attracts the bugs inside, if you want that. Be careful of the incense, they may cause cancer (that's why it's recommended for outdoor use). Electronic repellers (high frequency) waste of money, doesn't repel jack.

The only things I have heard that works are DEET sprays, nothing I want to put on at night before sleep. But the most effective I found is just run a fan or ceiling fan toward you. Mosquitos dis-likes breezes and can't effectively bite if there is one. Worked so far.

So basically just put soap water in a bowl, and shine a night light towards it? Doesn't like some kinda attractant have to be present in the water so that it'll attract the mosquito? Or does the night light do the job?

And I thought mosquitoes love to lay eggs in the water? It's like I'm doing them a favor lol, blood and a pond of water for their babies to grow all right next to each other.

Oh, also, what's considered a "night light"?

 

All you need is a few of these babies

 

a nightlight is the thing you plug into the wall mosquitos fly towards it thinking its the light outside

the soap in the water is to kill the mosquitos
