Ok here is the deal, anyone who says this is a 5 minute job is nuts unless their a body work pro. I took 3 hours of time to do it and do it right. Removed the front bumper and drew template on with a small sharpie. Then made the dreaded first cut and cut out the hole. Then used a dremel to make the size perfect. About an hour of just shaving the hole bigger little by little. I bought a rivet gun from Home depot for $16. TreeFiddyZero was cool and hooked me up with 8 black headed rivets so it would match at no charge. It ended up looking great but because I didn't rush. Nice and flush.

If you are a novice at installing anything I would not attempt this.

On the other hand if you would like me to pay the balance forward so to speak and send you the black rivets to use for installation I will send them at no charge to you. At least even if you have someone install the piece it will be done right and not with screws that may back out after time.

Let me know and pm me your address if you want them. I have 4 left.

i didnt bother with rivets.. i highly doubt anyone is going to try to take the air duct.
LOL I don't even have a dremel!

3 hours!!??? WOW! I would take me 20 mins with a steak knife. The hardest part is cutting through the foam a bit on the back end.

Sooo can anyone recommend any shops that can do this without messing it up or making it look trashy? Prefer the santa monica / torrance areas.

You don't need to but it is a lot easier to get the washers on behind the bumper for the rivets. 3 hours was me just cruising through the process. I also took a samich break LOL.

Anyways like I said I have 4 more rivets w/black heads if you want to have who ever installs it use them.

I have done at least 40 of these installs. They are quite easy. You in no way need to remove the bumper. You do need to make sure that you have the correct template for the duct that you have. Yes, they may all look similiar, but they are not the same. Use the wrong template and you'll have the wrong hole in your bumper.

3 hrs

It shouldn't take no more than 30 mins (20 mins for). Try an local paint shop if you want. All they have to do is know how to cut along a line.

+1 on the right template though. They all don't have the same angles.

Ok. You may have an issue then if it's not the Titek or Varis if the guy didn't give you a template.

Ouch. Just take it to your preferred bodyshop and have them do it then.

you can probably just start off cutting a smaller hole and then slowly cut out the shape to get the duct in properly. but that might be a pain in the *** to do.
