NEW DRIVER, WINDOW TINTING IN SO CAL
ok I looked at the tint thread which states that in cali, front side windows can only be 70 %, while the rest can by any percent that we want. So, does that mean, I can also tint the front windshield and front side windows 70 percent? then the rest any percent I want? do you think it would look weird if I totally blacked out the back and only had 70 percent on the front? Also, those of u who dark tint, how hard is it so see outside? thanks, and sorry for the long read.

I got 20% all around except on the front, I think it looks just fine. I sometimes have a hard time seeing outside my side windows at night when its really dark, but its not that bad.

Well. It is basically illegal to tint ANY front windows (ex. front driverside/passenger side, front windshield). However cops usually dont bother if they can see you through those window tint.
I have 15% in the front driver/passenger side and 10 percent on rear windows. I didnt get caught yet, but the 15% in the front window looks lighter because I have frost interior. If you have black interior, i suggest to go lighter tint but if you have frost, you can go a bit darker.
With my 15% all around, i see perfectly at night and 10% in the back work very well for Z's because our cars are lower than most vehicles out there(good if truck/suv is behind you w/ headlights on.)
but you can also tint as must as you want and just roll down those front window when you see the cop. In the end, its always hard to see through these windows when it is dark either you tinted your window or not.
sorry for the hell of a read.

both of you... fail... mr. "oh shiet" and mr. "wd40 on rotor" hahaha.
dark tint... yeah i have it on a black z... it's hard as to see at night... and especially backing out of a parking space or garage... i have to roll my windowns down to even see the mirrors. when it rains, i just hope there's no kids or midgets standing behind my car. if they're standing there, then too bad, they dead.
