it is a legitimite question... you're right other Z's have nothing to do with mine, and ill continue to enjoy the Z for a couple more years... but here's what sparked my initial reply.... (scroll down for CLIFF Notes)
I too wanted to sell my Z and get something else about a month ago... The Z is slow, not mod-friendly (unless you turbo or supercharge, and thats $$$$) and everyone has one. I figured i would sell it and buy something else thats faster and more respectable (speed wise)...
But then I thought about it, and really in my price range the Z is the coolest and funnest car i can afford and i do love driving it. Also, cars like Nitrouz's (already sold), yours (about to be sold) and Chebosto's (minus the salad bars) are an inspiration... more so nissan's new creation (the GTR) is an inspiration and makes me proud that i own a nissan sports car, over say a subi or a mustang or something... So i decided to keep it (and got motivated again, just like when i first joined this forum and bought the car, and even talked myself into some Volks) ...
Now that I see more and more people parting out and selling their Z's (most likely to take advantage of this time we're in, where cars are cheap and its a good time to buy/make a change), it makes me wonder maybe i SHOULD sell the thing and take advantage...
Think about it, and im sure this wont happen, BUT, lets say more and more legit members of this forum start selling their [legit] Zs and going away... this forum and Z community is gonna straight up suck (full of noobs buying used Zs for super cheap and asking over and over which exhaust is louder)...
It just feels like with the release of all these new cars (GTR, 370Z, new M3, etc.) people are getting over the 350Z and losing motivation, and that makes me lose MY motivation a bit towards the 350Z, and thats kinda sad thats all.
Sorry for the long read...
CLIFF'S NOTES:
My motivation + excitement toward the 350Z is exponentially decaying as every legit Z (the ones that inspired me to buy and mod my car in the first place) are parted out and sold. I predict a future where this forum just goes to sh@t (350Z wise), full of young noobs that bought their Zs super cheap, asking same dumb questions over and over again, with no veteran members (who are now long gone driving GTRs, 370Zs, M3s, etc.) to steer them in the right direction (like they did for me)... and thats sad to me thats all LOL.

i'm probably getting rid of mine soon too. don't get me wrong, i love the z and every time i drive it, i change my mind and wanna keep it. problem is, i don't drive it enough and it's impractical and a waste just sitting in the garage especially in this day and age.
