hmm...why am I up now huh? Well hard determinist believe that everything we do is determined. In short no one has free will. Anything i do can be predicted by studying my characteristics. Soft determinist believe that one feels like he is free, you make free choices, but everything is determined. If i may quote Schopenhauer.."A man can surely do what he wills to do, but cannot determine what he wills." Now Aristotle says that everything follows the laws of cause/effect except people. why? Humans can think rationally about these laws, hence we don't obey them. In the Hobbes-Hobart argument they; inside of you, you have beliefs, desires, history, volition, mannerisms, DNA, memories, life projects etc... that build your character, which build your desires, and results in actions....so.....
