i used my last one today on the 2 frwy this morning to work. i was on the fast lane when some stupid lady got infront of me going like 60 slowing down all of us. Being that i have a lil road rage i sped up and got right infront of her w/o signaling and then sped off doing like 80+. I had no idea their was a bike cop right behind us watching the whole thing and i for sure thought i was gonna get pulled over but he just passed me as if nothing happened
So now i gotta be careful

-go explore dude. you just got here. go get lost. for many hours.
-hiking... amazing places to hike. you want to possibly run into celebrities huffing and puffing up a mountain? hit up runyon canyon. lots of eye candy, too
-canyons
-go check out downtown.. wander in and out of the office buildings.. go to the AMAZING hotels.. bonaventure, etc.. ride angels flight, check out olvera st/el peublos de los angeles, check out union station, outdoor sculptures, etc etc etc
-beaches.. even in the winter.. they're beautiful to just chill at for a couple hours. take a blanket and a warm coat, maybe a sketchbook if you're so inclined
-check out the free major touristy areas.. most are shopping destinations but they're cool.. for example, 3rd st promenade, the grove, universal city walk, venice boardwalk/beach (incl. muscle beach), hollywood & highland area (including all the touristy crap around there.. ripley's believe it or not, grauman's chinese theatre, etc), rodeo drive, old town pasadena, sunset strip, west hollywood
-griffith observatory.. one of my most favorite places in LA
-supercar sunday, cars & coffee, other prominent car meets/gatherings
-did i mention canyons?
-drive PCH

^^...are you inviting him to your house for free entertainment..?
canyons.. my personal favorites are all the roads (except dirt.. ) in angeles national forest and basically all the canyons between the 101 and the ocean.... take an exit off the 101 deep in the valley, turn left, and explore until you hit the ocean (hopefully not literally). stop along the way and enjoy the breathtaking vistas. make a day of it. just make sure you've got plenty of gas and your brakes have no issues. some specifics.. on one drive i took las virgenes (in calabasas, off the 101) down to piuma road (part of "mulholland raceway") onto i think rumba pacifica road then onto las flores canyon road down to PCH.
any of the roads off the 101 in the valley will take you on an adventure down to the PCH.. others that i love are stunt road, yerba buena, carbon canyon, coral canyon... and a lot more.
