Mikey, what size spacers do you have in the rear? I was wondering if I could come over the next time you switch out your rims to test-fit the rear spacers on my car to see if it'll rub because I plan on buying a 20 mm or 25mm, but don't want to end up buying it for nothing if it's gonna rub. I've never installed spacers before though, so if it's a total PITA then that's ok
Thx.
Thx.btw, mikey did you get to install the top part of that shock? I was gonna come but I had to babysit and I slept in lol
hahaha i'd do the same if I was cracked the fock out
mmmm... herbal... yeah!!!! hahaha
sorry guys, been busy for the last few days.
boba, i'm actually going to pull the rear wheel off this wednesday to adjust something. it's not hard to move the spacer but you need to get the extended wheel studs, which comes with the spacer, installed to run the spacers safely. come by on wednesday before noon. or call me tomorrow, i'll let you know when i get going on the work. oh i have a 10mm spacer on the back. depending on your original offset and width of the rims/tires you have in the rear and the camber you are running, it will be different for everyone.
nel, hahaha i figured as much when you didn't call. i didn't see a missed call from you when i got out of the gym so i figured either you're abbysitting or sleeping. lol. wanna come by one wed? aloh is coming by. and yes, i put on the the top cap of the shock already. thanks bro... i was tripping before that. lol.

I'm sure it fits 25mm fine by just eyeballing, but I'm not sure about the actual driving. Mikey, if it doesn't rub when installed, is it not going to rub when actually driving? Cause I think depending on my camber, the suspension is going to tilt like -2 degrees when driving, and that's my main concern. LMK if I'm incorrect.

that might be kind of extreme because you can't really drive too fast like that. plus, ifyou want some crazy offset, you're going to need more than a -2 degree camber.
my fenders are rolled, dropped to like tucking a finger or two, you cannot fit your finger between the tire and fender... half decent camber, like bwtween -1.7 to -2.2, i'm assuming. you come and check it out for yourself... i donno what you really want to end up like.
Wednesday... aloh, you gonna come by?? how about nel and boba?
My wheels are +20, 18x9.5. Fenders are not rolled. Lol dang I just realized it's gonna be at -5 if I get 25mm. But by eye-balling, it seems like 25mm would work... I just want my rear to have a wider stance. I forgot what my exact camber is as I lost the paper. What do you mean I'm not gonna be able to drive fast? Like as in unstable, dangerous?
I'll come by Wednesday before I head out to work at 1.

no... i mean you's going to hit your fender if you are low enough. -5... even on a 9.5 inch wide wheel you might have a problem. for instance, i have the volks on right now... 10 in wide in the rear with 275/40/18's... offset is +7, with a pretty flat rolled fender. there's absolutely no more room for any more drop, or wider tires without getting some crazier camber. but then, tire wear would be really bad. on the meisters... they are 11 inch wide in the rear with a +17 offset, 275/35/19 tires... same story... no more room. and on both set of tires. mind you that i'm lowered to the point that i'm tucking like a finger or a bit more than that.
if you didn't roll your fenders... forget it... you going to hit the fender with the tires.

hmm 18x9.5 +20, i dont think will work with 25mm spacer w/o roll and at least -5 camber. Not saying it cant be done but not practical at all for daily, ive seen tires with crazy camber wear really fast in one corner and the rest of the tire looks brand spankin new, just brings a tear to my eye seeing all that wasted rubber lol
Photoshoot again tonight anyone? Have my V2 bumper on and wanted to retake some pics so i can take it off and get back to daily driving the z again haha.
