Nel, make sure you tell them the right amount - i know some vendors minimum is around 5 yards in length. The width (industrial) starts from 12"/15"/24"/30"/48"/56" normally 12" is hard to get but 15" should be available most of the time.

3m and Arlon is the best for the money, the adhesive on both has a minimum of atleast 3-5yrs and easy to cut for my plotter.

Nel needs to email the files before thursday too. I can prep, re-scale, adjust cutting lines and convert files at home. Then friday, i can just log-in and cut away. But either way, Friday night might be a long one - my work is relocating to Brea near the mall on friday, so i have to report there starting that day.

 

afk... dood i talked to nel at the gym tonight. we will go over to the office to help you out to get these decals made.

nel said he will go get the vinyl... so let him know what to get... also, i asked him to make two very minor changes. hopefully he can get that done quickly and see if it's a little bit better.

the words on the bottom needs to be a little bit bigger, or else you would never see it from like more than 3 feet away. also... he's doing the "derail" in all caps and another one in lower case... just to see the comparison and something for us to choose from. i think the one in all caps look pretty good.

is it at all possible to make the decal how boba did it here with a rear white backing so we can have black font or would that not come out clean?

M6, its possible but i may have to do a composite technique = overlaying the black and red on top of white vinyl. Offset the white background about 1/2" into my corel/adobe program and cut it with index marks. The process is very old school and might take a lot more time but works. Remember my plotter dont print, it only cuts it.

 

problem with doing this is.. it might look ok on the big fonts, but its gonna look gay on the small fonts on the bottom.. and if u put only white for the small fonts, then the decal doesnt match up

 

 

no more... that's it... just the way nel had it... just make the bottom font a little bigger. nore more new changes or anything... nel... everything in caps, just make the bottom font a little bigger so you can see it better. white with red... no backing or anything.

that's it. i think me, nel, aloh, and tony all agree... this is getting too much after 4 pages of this crap.
