Default Taste of Newport 2003 9/19-9/21

Anyone going to the 2003 Taste of Newport in Fashion Island?

Taste of Newport Website

I'm going on Saturday 9/20 since Sugar Ray will be performing. Some great food, wine, and cocktails to taste. A very nice "date" event with your significant other. I will be there with Eileen.

Let me know if any of yallz will be there!

Admission does not cover food/wine/cocktails etc. Just entertainment and entrance. Parking is FREE in the structure, but there is a valet available as well (not free). I will be there right when this thing starts on Saturday at 4:00PM. I wanna get the best available parking space in the structure, as to prevent door dings, etc.

The "tastes" cost anywhere from $1 - $5 EACH. The $5 will be fore the 4 and 5 star restaurants. I mean... their dishes usually go for $30-50 a pop at their establishment, so it makes sense and $5 for a small tasting dish does not sound TOO horrible. Expect to spend about $20 per person for a good time (couples can share the tastes). $40-50 per person for a GREAT time (with lots of liquor)... Haha.

Also, not sure what time Sugar Ray will be performing... I'm probably gonna be hanging out... drinking until a good part of the night.

If a couple of people commit to being there on Saturday, we can go on a cruise during the afternoon and caravan over to this thing together. Let me know if you'll be there.

I've already purchased my tickets. You can purchase the tickets in advance online, or at the door.

So far, the people in are:

1. BullishZ (1 guest)
2. OC_350Z (and I'm assuming 1 guest as well)

Please feel free at add your names, copying and pasting the original list.

Great Johnny! Look forward to having you and your girlfriend join us...

By the end of the week, I will post a good meeting time and location. Any suggestions on where to cruise?

PCH? I think a short drive will be sufficient... since by the time we meet (like 2 pm or 3pm), the traffic won't let us enjoy the canyons.

Oh, and I jacked this sig pic from Money at our other forum. I asked him for permission though.

I'm down to cruise anywhere, I was hoping we could get more cars though but it looks like there aren't many others who are interested in going... too bad though because this will be so much fun. Looking forward to the event so let me know!
