not sure about OC, here around 626 area, its Sam Woo.

18908 Gale Avenue
La Puente, CA 91748
(626) 913-0213

next to their restaurant is their take out shop. You can buy duck, pigs, etc.. they also serve duck wings/legs.. its like 3$ for a box full.. good for drinking beer with.

one more questions. does it have to be pre-ordered? or do you just show up and order it?

sam woo is ok... pretty average. most of the duck here is crap... especially peking duck. best i had was in taiwan.

check the chinese newspapers... there's a lot of places in the san gabriel/alhambra area. i think oc is pretty much out of luck.

and yes, you do have to pre order.

^best in Taiwan? wtf... that's insulting to hear! unless you have never had a real Beijing "Quan Ju De" duck... hahaha.. I read a few years ago Taiwan is trying to compete "Quan Ju De" duck by having special way of eating its skin, then meat, then bone soup.. bla bla bla.. didn't come close...

Lu Ding Ji duck is pretty good.. the restaurant you posted sugar. they are more specialized in Beijing style food than Sam Woo.. But that place requires you to pre order at least an hour ahead. Saw Woo is more like a take out duck as they have it hanging

Hmm. That's right around the corner from my house. Never tried it though. Might have to stop by one of these days. Thanks Sugar.
