Where is the best place in the OC LA area for Peking Duck?

next to their restaurant is their take out shop. You can buy duck, pigs, etc.. they also serve duck wings/legs.. its like 3$ for a box full.. good for drinking beer with.

 

make sure you ask for the right wrapping.. most places will give you the fat thick white bun

peking duck = epic win.

sam woo is pretty good for that stuff

 

sam woo is ok... pretty average. most of the duck here is crap... especially peking duck. best i had was in taiwan.

check the chinese newspapers... there's a lot of places in the san gabriel/alhambra area. i think oc is pretty much out of luck.

and yes, you do have to pre order.

 

^best in Taiwan? wtf... that's insulting to hear! unless you have never had a real Beijing "Quan Ju De" duck... hahaha.. I read a few years ago Taiwan is trying to compete "Quan Ju De" duck by having special way of eating its skin, then meat, then bone soup.. bla bla bla.. didn't come close...

Lu Ding Ji duck is pretty good.. the restaurant you posted sugar. they are more specialized in Beijing style food than Sam Woo.. But that place requires you to pre order at least an hour ahead. Saw Woo is more like a take out duck as they have it hanging

 

Taiwan duck does not beat this I waited in line for 2 hours to get a freakin table.. all I ate in Beijing was that duck and KFC.. drools.. Asian McDonald n KFC are so delicious

 

yeah china is the bomb... but i have never been there...

^ya.. definitely need to save a few thousand dollars and just eat through out China.. ahhh... time to dig the fridge for crappy American frozen food..

 

dammit... now i am really hungry. mcdonalds in taiwan has fried chicken and soup. hahaha... totally awsome and delicious.
