Hey guys. I have a 2003 Z and the transmission is making loud grinding noise, which apparently is a common problem for the 03 transmission. I plan on just getting it replaced, and I know a dealer would charge too much $$$$

Does anyone know of any shops that sell used transmissions? Or at least cheap labor?

I have a used spare tranny 6speed. I'm in LA area, I can sell for good price and I have a mechanic who works on my car who can do the swap for pretty cheap if you buy the tranny. Let me know what you're budget is.

 

no issues or damage to the tranny? well i'm going to get the car checked out by the dealer this weekend. if it really does need a swap, ill go to you... cuz i know damn well its gona be hella expensive at the dealership.

No issues. I wouldn't keep it as a spare if it had problems. It could be cheaper to swap instead of fixing it if it isn't covered by warranty. I also have a buddy who is a nissan mechanic or another guy who works at the actual dealership. So eitherway I can hook you up if you decide to buy the tranny.
