If u want an easy way out of a tint ticket, ask ur optometrist for a note. what i did was ask my optometrist for a doctors note stating I was required to have a tint on my car due to an issue with my eyes. Of course it is BS, but my optometrist was cool about it and wrote it for me haha.

Well yes and no. It is listed in the vehicle code hand book that with a proper note from a doctor tint up to a certain point can be legal; but that doesn't stop him from ticketing you anyways

Yeah, plus after a certain percentage you'll have to resort to some sort of removable screen that can be taken off at night.
If you have a serious condition where your skin can't be exposed to light, you better be wrapped up like the invisible man.
WTF. No fix-it ticket on that? That makes me wanna take my overlays off. It's not worth it.
no fix it ticket. straight ticket. **** load of money for that ****. i got a speedin ticket (48 in a 25) a couple months ago and that was only 310 with traffic school.
sucks how there are so many people who support these dumb *** tickets. Our government thrives off of these so called herd of sheep.
The original poster knew the law and knew he was violating the law regarding tint. If he violated the law, he shouldn't complain when he gets a ticket. Just man up and pay the fine. Is the law fair and right? I don't know that. I just know it is best to obey the law or expect to be fined.

the cop's just being a dick then.. usually they are nice about it unless you are a dik to him..
That sucks. Count your blessings though... Tint tickets here are >$280 PER WINDOW. Legal limit here is 35%, and I had 20% all around. That's 5 windows at over $280 each.
hm? what the heck are u talking about? i got a ticket like 5 months ago for tinted windows and it were $130... that was it... 280$ per window?? outragerous....
dont remember the exact amount but around $130..

lmao +1, what did they expect? if you get caught, not only should you expect to at least pay the court fee but guess what? the tint goes bye bye and the money you paid to get the tint done goes bye bye. did you expect to be able to keep the tint and only pay the court fee instead of a citation type fee? lol. follow the law and you wont need to ***** about it. i fukd up a few months ago and didnt get my car registered on time. got a citation and forgot about the court date. i paid $180 and didnt complain cause you know, i fukd up.
