Help Save A Lives! Leukemia Walk Nov. 6th
Hello to everyone in the Socal Z community,
I'm posting this thread strickly to get people to donate, or even better participate, for the benefit of the research and treatment of Leukemia. Before I became a med student I had no idea what it was. I knew it was a form of cancer but had no idea it was "cancer of the blood". All of our blood cells are produced in our red bone marrow, which is why we donate bone marrow to those suffering from this disease. Anywho, my med instructor Keri Retz is a hardcore metal fan and is friends with the band BEHEMOTH. Recently she found out the lead singer, and close friend, Nergal, was diagnosed with leukemia. Once she asked us to walk with her for the benefit of helping others with this disease, I was all in. Whether you like the music or not this is a good cause and there are people everywhere that could use a little help.
Nergal:
No donation is too small, if you can donate something do so. If you can't no worries it's tough out there nowadays.
She has set the bar for $1000 for her team... but I know that can be accomplished from the socal z community by donating chump change.

The date for the Leukemia Walk is Saturday November 6th at 5pm (registration time)
It is at Warner Center Park in Woodland Hills, CA
