Cold air in SoCal equals no smog test: need help
I'm having difficulty initiating the California smog check for my 2007 350Z with Nismo cold air intakes. I just move to Escondido from Connecticut, where the dual cold air intake was installed by the dealer. Upon attempting to have the car emission tested in Escondido today, I was informed that the intakes lacked a sticker certifying that the intakes were okay for California use. I would rather not put the original parts back on. Does any one know what to do about this problem or what the number should be on the sticker?

I dont see why you wouldnt pass a smog test if you have done nothing on the exhaust end of you car. I think if you run the test as is you should be fine especially with Nismo which is a factory intake. If its a matter of the shop not wanting to do it, try another place that will lol. I am sure you can find one easily if not pm me and ill send you to this place in burbank that always works with any car and any issue to pass it.
