Heads up, on July 9th from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Lyon Air Museum (adjacent to Orange County Airport complex) in Santa Ana, a showing of 10 museum quality historical J-Series Dusenbergs will be on display. As the Annual G/Z HB event ends at approximately 12:30 P.M. the proximity and time line fits in perfect for a tour of this exhibit on the afternoon of the 9th. The Museum is 10 miles from the HB meet, PCH-1 to 55-Fwy to Orange County Airport. I attended an event at the Lyon museum in January of this year and was very pleased with the facility. The Lyon museum was opened in December 2009, hosting a working air fleet of WWII war birds and many international vintage collector automobiles. The museum has free guided tours with docents and tour pamphlets for self guided tours, the entry fee is $8.00 and parking is free. I will be rolling over to this Dusenberg J-Series exhibit after the HB meet, and to see the WWII war birds again. Smiles all around and see you all at the HB meet next weekend, take care.

Some tips for the meet:
*Bring Sun Block and water.
*If you bring pets they are allowed in the parking lot asphalt and bike path but not on the sand.
*Beach attire, swim suits are welcomed, it is a beach afterall.
*Show up early as it is a public parking lot, no fencing off meet area, no saving spaces, we are not supposed to set up tents either so if police officers ask us to take it down please obey.
*As usual these meets are being observed by the Huntington Beach police department and we are to self-govern our group or they will shut us down. Obnoxious behavior, dangerous driving will be reported to the police department. The beach will be very crowded with family so please be considerate. Just remember that the police department at Huntington Beach can choose to shut us down at anytime if they feel public safety is a concern. We havn't had an incident in 7 years and don't plan to start now.
Have fun and see yall this weekend.
