Anyone here use a small auto body shop for minor body and paint work? If so is there any place you recommend from experiance?

Maaco/Earl Schieb = No.

I did have a car a long time ago painted by Maaco and it was fine from what I remember, but didn't keep the car long enough to see long term effects.

Not looking for a show car finish as I want to be able to drive it without being super cautious.

I have seen the link above and there are so many, but they look like higher end shops. I have seen small shops all around and was hoping someone would have been to one that did good work. Kind of like that little hole in the wall eating spot that people know about and recommend to people.

but you need to check out Auto Explosion. A lot of guys here use that place.

 

Yeah I love close enough to them. I will see if they are there tomorrow for an estimate. I don't mind paying a little more for a quality job, but to be honest I am not looking into throwing 5k into paint

 

they're only open till like noon on saturday.
