There is a meet this Sunday at K1 speed in Carlsbad hosted by SoCal Car Meets and Shows and K.R.O.P.S (Keep Racing Off Public Streets) I got all of this info off of thier facebook event page. Check these guys out they hold some pretty legit meets.

Come out for our 7th meet of 2012 at K1 Speed Carlsbad. We
had a great turnout at the K1 Speed in Irvine, Anaheim, and Ontario
for our previous monthly meets.

Last year's meets were at Hooters in Anaheim, but we had to relocate due to the Anaheim Ducks Game. Lets keep the new meet with No Drama, No Cops, and No BS please!

Chill, relax, and meet some new people. This event is open to all makes and models of all cars: jdm, domestic, imports, euro, vip, hellaflush, trucks, motorcycles, skateboards, whatever. We don't discriminate!

As ALWAYS, we ask that you respect the area by not bumping your music, revving, doing burnouts, racing, or any of that "ricer" stuff. Also, NO drinking or smoking weed in the parking lot as we have zero tolerance for that and will ask you to leave or call the cops if needed.

How was it?

 

It was cool, not a big turn out but it was fun. Me and some friends got there right at 4 there were probably somewhere around 20-30 cars it was hard to tell though because people we not all parked in one area. We got a discount on Kart racing. I talked to one of the guys from K.R.O.P.S and he hooked me and my friends up with some free stickers and had his media guys take some group shots of our cars. He said that they have much larger turn outs at the meets they host in Irvine/Anaheim. Bought a shirt and got to spin the "swag wheel" I won a free session of Karting at Adams Motorsports park. They had a couple of food trucks parked outside for people that wanted to eat and drink. We left around 6 and I believe the meet went on until 9 so maybe more cars came idk I kinda doubt it though.
