Has anyone here heard of them, and/or used them in the recent past?

Backstory:

My friend was going to sell me his Work VS-XX, which he had widened to 10" by them earlier this year; however the sealant was coming off, so before he sold them to me, he was going to have them resealed. So, we dropped them off at Simple Wheel Werks (who did the original widening). This was about mid to end of June. Fast forward to today, he tells me he's been leaving them 3 messages every week, but they don't call him back. I dropped by their shop to piock up the wheels, however they're closed. I ask other tenants about Simple Wheel Werks' whereabouts, and I was told they closed shop a month ago!!! Obviously, they don't have any contact info.

that does not sound too good... hope you get to the bottom of it.

i'd talk to the owner of the site if it was rented out. get addresses, phone numbers, bats.

I know; it doesn't look good. I'm going to the police department later (they share the same block). My friend is also messaging people on other forums and starting threads, as well as messaging people on Facebook. I called my other friend who knows the owner of VR Wheels, to see if they've heard of these guys.

I understand you are upset, but what't the point of making threads?

Talk to the property owner they were renting from, get their contact info, then try to contact them. If they refuse to do anything, get the police involved.

I made the thread to see if anyone here has used them, or knows them. My friend has their contact info, but they aren't calling back. I'm going to the police later today.

Thanks for the link. That was the info we needed-we knew they were moving shops but we didn't have an address.

lol, thanks guys. All I did was lookup their number in google and give them a call to make sure they were still open and sure enough someone answered their phone.

thanks a lot for the call. they didn't call me back directly, but they called my friend; apparently Paolo was out of town, and Virginia was in charge of the phones, but failed to return all the calls. The wheels are at the machine shop, and should be back by the end of the week. I'm still a little sketchy; i'll go to the shop wednesday, as i'm working the tonight and tomorrow.

i'll keep you updated.

Seriously...F**k these guys. He's been ducking my phone calls for the last week, and giving me the story that his mom was sick, and his "machinist died"...same damn story he gave to my friend who referred me to them.

I called their number listed on the website, which doesn't get me an answer. I have his personal cell phone, and he doesn't respond to texts or numerous phone calls.

F**k Paolo and his girlfriend. Apparently, people on the Lexus forums are looking for this scumbag as well.

 

Did talk to the cops? What did they say?

 

The only reason I'm commenting now is because of DrummerGirl.. You're a drummer and a girl. Awesome. (I'm a drummer to)

Anyways, sucks man.. You need to go over there in person until you get this resolved.
