350z HR Clutch change
So, Im new to the site and not a new Z driver however i am looking at a clutch change for the HR and it is not so cut and dry im hearing from others. I was wondering if anyone has tried this or know of a shop that wont charge a 1000 bucks to do so. I live in San Diego.
A lot of the expense is in getting to the clutch. Get a copy of the service manual, and read through the procedure.
The flywheel may need to be replaced. Regrinding it is somewhat of a problem because of the dual-mass design.
The concentric slave cylinder needs to be replaced. The SM calls for it in the procedure for removing and installing the transmission. They have a history of problems, and you don't want to have to take the transmission back down to replace it later.
