Default R&D Factory info

Does anyone know what happened with R&D factory. I called them about two weeks ago to see if they could replace my valve cover and O rings (They are the only people I know who have aftermarket parts for it / do it for cheap) and they told me come by in a week. A week later I call their phone number and it doesn't work. I check their website and it says that they are located in Chino now. I called their new number and no response, so I swung by their new location and no one was there. I am planning to swing by their old location later on this week, but does anyone know what is up with them to save me gas and time?

Thanks!!

any reason you're bent on going there? there are plenty of other reputable shops in the area...

I've heard that they are the only shop that can fix o-ring seals on the valve cover without having to replace the whole valve cover. However, if you know a shop that can do this by all means let me know.

My usual shop said they had to order a new valve cover and each was like 200 dollars, so 400 total without labor... ouch!

we have a sticky.

https://my350z.com/forum/southern-ca...cal-shops.html

call around.

redoing o-ring seals sometimes can back fire if the proper replacement seal is not done correctly, then you'll have to do it twice.

most shops will just say get a new OEM piece which was properly set from factory so they dont have to deal with the potential issue ever coming up and you, the owner, complaining of a bad reseal.

buy the parts, do it yourself. learn about the car, or just pay for labor if you dont have tools/time/experience, etc.

always trade offs, but in general, Time = Money, which would you rather have.
