Default How much should I expect to pay for front bumper paint?

Hey guys, what's the average cost of a good paint job w/ debadging in SoCal? I'm not interested in a maaco quality job, however I'm not looking for a car show quality paint either. The bumper I'm getting is going to be a fiberglass one from Shine Auto incase that makes a difference.

Also, I daily drive my car. Is it possible for me to get a good paint job with the bumper not mounted on the car, or will I need to leave it attached for it to look right? I'm fine with leaving my car in the shop and hitching ride if it means my car will look good, however if I can get away without doing it I'd much rather do that.

And with that being said, can anyone recommend any shops near or around fullerton? Thanks!

Just keep in mind. the tone of the paint wont match spot on no matter how high quality the shop is.
Paint reacts and bonds differently on different material (metal, plastic, fiberglass, carbon ect...)

And the job should take about 3 days 2 minimum. Just make sure you mention to the shop if your car is a pearl color or anything special. that they use bigger flakes in the paint. My bumper has smaller particles than oem (repainted) and its noticeable from a close look.

with all that being said. a fair quality shop would run plus or minus $300

I would recommend Sams Auto Land in torance. AMAZING shop. and big time race sponsor. but its in Torrance :/

You will want to leave the car at the shop so they can take care of any fitment issues. Shine's stuff fits pretty well most of the time, but it's not the case for every part. It sounds like you want it to look right and don't mind leaving the car there, so do it! You won't regret it. The shop may ask for more money if they have to fix any fitment issues though. $300 is the usual price for fair quality, as Neeko94 said, but for paint only.

Sam's is good, as is Auto Explosion which is also near Torrance. For a shop near Fullerton, the only one I heard of is Magic Auto, in Santa Ana.

Thanks for the help you guys! If it's only 3 days and it'll make my car look better then I'd definitely just leave it in the shop. Maybe I can pull off the headlights and black them out in the meantime.

Blackhousing the headlights aren't hard to do, but time consuming. I did it a couple years back. Just make sure to buy the silicone strip lining from Mynismo or Thenismoshop so it's a cleaner re-install. I did it with liquid silicone and it was a mess....

$300 average I have seen, I have gone through two bumpers and I usually left the car there for a day two max.

try out diamond bar collision center at diamond bar. No issue of the color matching for even PPW, which is hard to match.

$300 for a quality 9/10 job

$400- $500 for pearl with color sand

Quality costs money so don't cheap out or you will have some half assed off color bumper from Joe Schmoe.

Get the front and sides painted at the same time and it will be cheaper.
That sounds way to high for the sides tho.
Id say like 6 bills to paint both front and sides at maxxx
but again like 9K said...go to a known/quality shop
you dont want to have a 2 tone Z I hope

already have a fresh front it was painted at auto explosion when i got hit thru insurance. yea i got front and sides in cudahy for 6.

i trust auto explosions work because estebans a good guy. ive been to him a couple times but 6 for oem sides that wont have to be reworked to fit...

anyone know some good paint places? maybe i should check out markidian in manhattan beach. ive read in some other thread someone saying good things about them. also noticed you said sams auto. i went there for an estimate but chose auto explosion over them because the guys at sams seemed too busy.

sideskirts are usually $250 or $450 pending fitment, size, and materials.

I would ideally spend $350-$400 on a pair painted and installed.

Just say to yourself, you get what you pay for.

Auto explosion is asking 6 bills for quality *** work. Quality work takes time.

Imagine a 350 dollar job takes 2 hours of work plus materials while a $500-600 dollar job might take 4-5 hours.

People who have high prices usually do it for a reason.

Will I need the special "pearl" color if my car is just the OEM silverstone?

I'm pretty sure Silverstone is not a "pearl" color.
