Information from a reliable source has indicated that TC Kline will be driving one of his 350Z race cars in the two SCCA National races at Buttonwillow Raceway Park on May 1 and 2. TC competes in the T2 class against the likes of the Mazda RX-8 and Dodge Neon SRT-4.

Saturday's race is scheduled for 2:25 pm, and Sunday's for 11:26 am. SCCA Club Racing schedules tend to be a bit flexible, so arrive early to ensure that you won't miss the race in the event it goes green ahead of schedule.

I'll likely be heading up there on Saturday in the Roadster, and there are some fun roads to be driven between LA and the track, which is at the Lerdo Hwy exit from the 5 freeway north, across the street from the John Deere dealership. It's about 90-120 minutes north of LA. Specific directions can be found on the Buttonwillow web site.

Well, TC didn't run on Saturday, and I wasn't there on Sunday to see what transpired. He was qualified a couple of seconds ahead of the trio of factory Mazda RX-8's, though.

 

Nice looking RX-8's all had matching color-shift paint jobs.

TC only ran 3 laps, so I'm guessing he didn't feel any better than he did on Saturday. But check out that lap time!
