350Z Challenge Series Racetrack Dates in 2004
I am considering the following racetrack dates for our 350Z Challenge Series, for the rest of this year. The first event at Big Willow on June 4 was a big success, and all the Z owners had a great time. If you are seriously interested in running any of these track events, I'd like your feedback on the schedule. All are 2-day events, but you can attend for only one of the days if you prefer.
1. Big Willow - August 7 & 8
2. Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Arizona -- September 4 & 5
3. Buttonwillow Raceway - October 1, 2 & 3 (possibly just Oct. 2 & 3)
4. Spring Mtn. Raceway in Pahrump, Nevada - Oct. 9 & 10
5. Thunderhill Raceway (near Sacramento) - November 27 & 28
There are lots of days in July, August and September that we could run Streets of Willow. It is not my favorite track (not enough straights for high hp cars), but if there is interest among the Z owners, I will set it up.
One problem we should consider is the heat in August and early September.
Please let me know if you are interested in running any of these events. Details like costs, accomodations, etc. to follow.

Who is up for some serious high speed driving on the "fastest road in the west", the big road course at Willow Springs Raceway on August 7 and/or 8 ? High performance driving instruction will be available. Details such as price, accomodations, etc, to follow.
Great weekend on the big road course at Willow Springs Raceway near Lancaster, Calif. It will be hot as hell in the high desert, but we got "the fastest road in the west" for the weekend. Go to www.speedventures.net to sign up. Bring lots of bottled water.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

SpeedVentures has an excellent class for beginners, and great instructors. You get some classroom time while the advanced drivers are on the track, but mostly you drive with your instructor in the car and the other newbies on the track. It's great fun. Big Willow is a great place to start. It's $120 for Sat. Aug. 7 OR Sun. Aug. 8, or $220 for both days. Instruction is an extra $30, and is a must for beginners.
I promise it will be the most fun you ever have with your clothes on.
