Ok guys, just like the title says, this is a thread for all you car enthusiasts to sign up for legal drag racing at California Speedway.

We've had plenty discussions regarding who's car is faster and who's not. So, here's the time to prove it.

Bring all camcorders, cameras, crayons, sketch paper and pencils so we can finally document some 350Z's tearing it up against other imports and domestics.

I trully hope some 350'z/G35's will join me in running their cars at the track, but also hope you guys can atleast go and spectate.

We're going to be meeting at 4myride.com , from 10-12pm if you are RUNNING your car. Hopefully like that we can all roll in together and get to run together. If you just want to watch, there will also be people at the shop until 4pm.

Please take time to sign up and post if you will run or only watch.

Yeah, this is pretty fun to do. I went a couple months back and it was great fun. I'd love to make it to this one, but my car is acting weird and I definitely don't want to run it WOT with the way it's running now. Maybe next time.

Well, to those of you who will make it, I hope to see you either at the shop or at the speedway.

This is basically an invite to hang out together and enjoy a day at the races. Not to mention, help squash all these "my car is better" stories.

 

So how was it?

 

i was there it wasnt worth the money this time. i had 2 runs. I did however see a Z that ran a 13.5, Im not sure what he had but it was pretty quick. fastest time for me today was 14.3. I think I could have done better if I could have gotten some more runs in. Next week at the Cali Speedway is some Battle of the Imports thingy. I wont waste my time there, Im going to head out to Carlsbad.

Does anyone know who owns that Z who ran 13.5s constitently. What does he have in the motor?

 

i got there by 4:15pm, the tech was crowded as heck. i brought my wife to take the videos, but it was a pretty hot day, so she didn't even bother to carry the video camera .

i ran my car like when i was a newbie leanring how to drive. i ran my first and only run at 14@102xx. i spun really bad, went sideways shifting from 1st to 2nd , at 8:40pm wife gave up. so i didn't have the chance to redem myself . oh well another day i'll do it.

btw i think the car running 13.5 was driven by nastyboy, hey nasty, nice runs in there, i didn't have the best run today, but hey, without any crap, your 13.5 won agaisnt my 14, so congratulations this time....
i guess we would have the time to set up something again

Yeah, I'm very very very sorry for yesterday. I can't appologize enough for inviting you guys over and having such a long hot crowded day!

I too only managed two runs. That damn bug gave me such a run, it wasn't even funny! That was a father and son team. The dad was trying to hustle me talking about my paint and bodykit alone is worth more than the car. I get out and tell him, your slicks and roll cage are worth more than my rims, tires and bodykit. Damn looser! LoL

Anyway, yeah, the heat was awful. I had a hard time keeping my car straight. Everytime I shifted into second and third my tires would spin and my car wanted to pull to the side.

Maybe next time we can meet somewhere else? I think I'm going to hit Irwindale on Thursday to practice on my launch.
