No not serious at all, we need to make sure it remains fun. Furthermore I completely agree that this should not be "sponsored" cars. It should be the ones people spend their own money on. I think Greg chose three so that the poeple wouldn't have to look at like 40 total cars and decide which 20 they like more....

 

Well, you guys had me excited then bummed out all in the same sitting. When Robert approached me about this I thought it was a great idea and told him if he supplied the ballots and a box, I'd cover the trophy. I admit I never gave thought to the "Corporate Sponsored" cars. I always saw it as some regular guys who hooked up their cars right. Now here's where *I* come down on this. I think some sponsorship is more than fine. I own a very nice Altima, and I didn't buy alot of the stuff, I did spend some money on it. I did hustle for some free parts on it, nothing wrong with that. That's work in itself. I would draw the line on cars that are promonitely featured in corporate advertising. If your car is going to be @ SEMA this year, I would ask you do it as a display for the vendor. Have them set up a booth and use your car to attract attention. Do not enter the car show itself. You're welcome to come of course.
I think 3 or 5 cars is the best representation of the group. We don't have to label the ballots or cars as "North" South", we could do "A" "B" to ensure less "emotional vote". You guys can decide how many cars. BUt be sure it's about fun, coming together and admiring one another's work.
If I get a dyno then the trash talking can begin. ;-)

 

Right on...thats what I mean I just couldn't describe it like you did. After all I think we've ALL hustled for some free parts at some point :-)

 

Don't get me wrong I love looking at cool cars , the wife and I are going to SEMA for the whole week looking for sponsors but we have to draw the line somewhere or just call it the HIN or DUB instead of the Mossy SHOW. Invite all the BIGGGG
Boys to participate, I know and love all of them and I hope to be among them next year or so. We all get some parts given to us, some more then others and thats' OK. I think the SEMA cars should be in a class by themselves but definately invited and encouraged to come.

The Mossy Show should be about what a regular guy can do to his car,with his own money.

Even if you don't show on the line (modded) get on out to just hang with the So Cal 350 Crew.
