So there I was Sunday afternoon waxing the Z in front of may garage. My next door neighbor's 17 year old daughter has her Explorer parked in the guest space near my garage. She walks out with three of her friends, gets in the SUV, and procedes to back into the right rear bumper of the Z! While I'm standing there waving like mad and yelling to stop!!!

She gets out of the car and says "sorry, I didn't see the car" WTF!!! You just walked by it!!!

Anyway, she put some gouges and a couple of indentations in the bumper, and pushed the rear turn signal lamp part way into the bumper. Her dad gets on the phone and tells me to wait until he gets back after the 21st. F that!

Called AAA today, filed the claim. They call me back, waved the deductable and set up the repair. It will need a new rear bumper panel, new turn signal, and repaint. Fortunately, no sheet metal was touched.

Being the trouper that I am, I fully intend to be at the Mossy meet, gouges and all, and will be going on the run on Sunday. Can't pass up the opportunity to hang out with the So Cal Z buds.

I would be so pissed. I don't see how she proceeds to back up into your car. I would be homicidal if someone did that to me. I'm 17 too. =P

Mom and Dad are divorced. She lives with Dad, but is staying with her Mom while Dad is out of the country. Her Mom did say she was sorry.

My biggest beef is that at 17 year old (guy or girl) should not be driving an SUV. She originally had a late model Saturn, but her Dad made her sell it because he thought she would be safer in an SUV. She may be safer, but the rest of us are not

 

reasons like this is why i have a 94 tercel as a beater. Funny thing is when I drive the tercel nothing ever seems to happen but when I drive my Z all the idiots seem to come out

 

Someone hit WildZ (Tony) at Sema over the weekend but we left town with the insurance check and Performance Nissan helped get a new bumper to the body shop in time to make the Mossy meet..

I'm shining a few parts for Tony and the wild Z will look so pretty for the Mossy North/South showoff.

I got rid of my redline coupe because everytime I turned the corner someone ran into me. Or a bird would take a big dump on it and stain the paint!!!

same thing almost happened to me last year and as the car got closer I just started kicking the SUV in the rear quarter panel and pounding on the rear window... the focker had her 1800 watt stereo blasting to some wanna-be punk rock shizz. of course after she stops she gives me the finger but hey, I'd rather get flipped the bird then have to take my car to the bodyshop... thought about putting myself in front of the Z but figured that it would really suck to be crippled AND have my car in the shop

 

It seems the DMV gives out drivers licences like candy to anyone! Sh*t for brains.....would hate to see her out on the freeway!

Better keep the hell away from my Z, unless she wants to carry her teeth in a Chicklets box!!!!!!

I can only hope that her insurance surcharges her dad enough that he will reconsider his choice of vehicles for his daughter.

Car goes to the estimaters tomorrow...hopefully the body kit will come in in the next week, so I can get everything done at once.
