* This is not a cheaply made Coilover system, if you want a coilover only for height adjustable, this is not for you. This HKS Coilover system is all about performance and improving lap time while the valving makes the car still streetable *
For sale is a set of HKS HiperMax III Sport Coilover. I am looking to get $1800 for this fast, awesome, like new coilover system. I have only about 5000 miles on them. No leaks, no blown shock. (Retail $2500)
This is the sport version, however, it is still very streetable. The middle stiffest setting is already good enough for the California tracks for me.
I upgraded this from Bilstein PSS10 and a instant 2 sec reduced on my track time. Turn in is much easier and responsive.
I was able to do 2'05 @ Thunderhill Cyclone and 2'02 @ Buttonwillow with Street RS3 tires on these set of suspension.
The reason I am sellling this is because my Z is track only car now and I upgraded the suspension to a more aggressive Double rebound and compression adjustable suspension.
Key Features:
- 11kg/mm Front (616 lbs/in)
- 12kg/mm Rear (672 lbs/in)
• Hiper Linear Piston – Linear progression piston adjusts oil passages for precise stroke management resulting in smoother valve movements.. As piston speed increases, dampening rate linearly increases.
• Pillowball upper mounts standard
• Monotube design
• 30-way adjustable dampening
• Shock-body length adjustable (most applications)
• 65mm diameter springs - Cold wound and manufactured in-house at HKS to ensure quality and consistency
• Lightweight Aluminum lock nut & ride height adjuster
• Hard chrome-plated cylinder shaft
• Non-electrolysis Nickel plated shock bodies provide durability in severe weather conditions.
• Dustboots standard

I can lowered it to $1500.
Good luck finding a sport version . And you are wrong, non-sport is not more expensive.

KW are twin tubes. HKS is monotube which is lighter (less unsprung weight) and carry much more fluid inside the tube.
That's a lot more benefit for monotube vs twin design. Most high end or race shocks are made with monotube design. Google it and you will know.
Also, Kw v2 and v3 do not come with pillowtop upper mount. HKS does.
