Exclamation Let's make a "Sticky" for "Good" and "Bad" dealerships.

With all of the recalls, TSB's etc., I think this would be helpful in deciding where to go, or not go, for service. Just an idea!

then e-mail the link to Nissan corporate....
1. Baker Jackson South; Houston, TX.

Offense:
Didn't fix my grease streaks. They came back a week later. Stripped an anchor nut for the door handle. Broke the armrest clip on the other door. Service tech drove me front bumper over a parking block when he pulled the car out of the service garage and parked my car for me. Freegin' idiot!

Tom Peacock I-45N

Con's: Gave me the run around about parts coming in, not having parts, etc.

Pro's: When I did get service (after a few weeks of figuring out if they actually had the parts or not) I got really good service. They fixed the rear axle click and grease streaks and have not had a problem in 6 months since. They even asked me if I had the tire feathering issue...but so far so good!

Can anyone hear the gears in the steering column when making slow speed turns. As I am turning the wheel I can hear the gears meshing.

Douglass Nissan in College Station has been nothing less than GREAT to me. Fixed the grease streaks on my 03, and even replaced the tint it had partially worn thing on both windows. Replaced drivers side window motor and have had NO issues with any mistreatment or negligence of my vehicle.

I take my Z to Courtesy Nissan mostly b/c of convenience. They only charge $12.50 labor for oil changes (since i bring my own oil and filter) and I had them replace my hatch shocks under warranty with out any problem (hatch wouldn't stay open... now its better than ever). As far as having them do anything else... they have the basic high prices you would expect from a stealership.

Bankston Nissan in Irving = 5 Stars. They replaced a transmission with out any hassle. I didn't have a single problem with them.

Grubbs Nissan in Bedford = 0 Stars. I've had absolutely horrible service at that dealership. I had a transmission replaced there. It took them 17 days to get the d@mn swap done. I also had the rear axle clicking. I took it back to them to fix it. They apparently installed new axles. Afterwards the clicking is louder than it used used to be!

Douglass Nissan in College Station = 5 Stars. I had an issue with my passenger side window seem leaking a small amount. They replaced it quickly. I also had an issue with my headlights a while back. They had the service manager do a complete electrical diagnostic on the car. When they narrowed it down to a problem with the headlights, which was not covered under warranty since I pulled leds in them, they didn't charge me a dime.

Default Bankston Nissan

Bankston Nissan was a great experience for me. I got a great deal on my care with excellent customer service.

I was and have continued to be treated with respect and appreciation and you can't beat that with a stick anyday.

Bankston Nissan of Lewisville at 121 and hwy 35. The Best!

Well south point nissan was a good experiene until i just recieved an email from them saying that my warranty was in jeapardy since i havent brought my car in for factory maintananence. I promptly responded with mos magnisson act and havent heard from them. Stupid dealers, id sooner kick myself in the nets then let their minimum wage auto mechanics touch my car.

I thought I was the only one hearing that.. I hear it during cooler days, when I first start up the car and turn. It only does it shortly after the car has been started in a cooler weather, then goes away as the car heats up. On warmer days, I haven't heard it.

As far as the dealership thing goes.. here's the full story.. but bascially:

Simply the Best Nissan (McKinney) - 2½ stars: they seem to try their best, but it just isn't enough; don't know how to do their jobs correctly; few things wrong with "fixed" problems; many customers complain about their lack of sense of time; worst of all, they try to cover up their lie with more lies and never gets **** done on time.. simply the best my ***...

Gunn Nissan in San Antonio at 281N and Bitters Rd. Ask for "Big Al", he's the Sales Manager but he'll make sure you get taken care around the whole place. He's a fellow Z owner and member of the local Z club.
