Default Potty Trained

As for my car leaking coolant, as you all saw...I thought I had potty trained it? I guess not?

Well, I pulled out the coolant overflow reservoir today and found that the line was cracked. Problem solved.

I agree on having the meet somewhere new, but not another mall parking lot where we'll get run off by a she-male security guard. The whole reason we were at Tin Star that day is because Willowbend ran us off. Allen Outlet Mall is insanely busy during the weekend as well.

There are tons of places at Park & Preston, and tons of places to eat as well. I think somewhere at Park & Preston would be good next time.

Actually, you're right.. forgot about the stupid rent-a-cops in the malls.. How about parks in the area? As far as restaurants go, I think we could afford to travel a little to grab a bite. Plus it'll look cool.

Eh, we got two weeks to figure this all out. People, make some suggestions of your own too.

The next meet we need to have someone video the cruise. Nice pics to everyone that has posted them up. The sound of the TT blowing me by still raises the hair on my neck.

Actually, I have some pretty good video of Smoky's car crusin' on the way to the meet.

Thanks for the comments on the TT...didn't realize that one drive-by was that awesome! I mean we all know one minute you could be on top, and the next minute you could be pissin' antifreeze all over the TGI Friday's parking lot.

Ehh.. So what if your car has to take a leak once in a while?

I might go to some of the Texas Z Roundup.. just not sure which ones yet. Let us know if any of you are going, to which ones, and where you'll be coming from.

So, I got an interesting story... 2 versions, so pick one and read

Long version-
On my way back to McKinney with 350Track and GodZilla, I see this Mustang GT just itching to speed and tailgating real close to cars in front of him. Curious to see the driver (don't know why), I get in the lane next to him and take a look. It's a younger driver with a girl in the passenger seat and they look over at me and rev his v8. At first, I laughed it off, but realized this could be fun as I haven't run a GT in my Z's new shoes. So we slow down to 60mph, holding the traffic back, and we take off (no honks; he gassed and I did right after him since I was already in the right gear). I pull on him and we do this again. This is all in traffic so it's dangerous and stupid and blah blah, I know. Then, I see 350Track coming up behind us after our 2nd run. I figured he wanted to give it a go too with his TT and sure he enough he does. So I slow down and let them go at it. Of course, if you've seen his car, it's a sleeper. GT didn't know what he was getting himself into. In the very beginning, maybe for a second or two, they were about even. I guess he didn't floor it or boost didn't kick in yet. But once the TTZ got going, it was GONE and looked like he was racing himself. So I'm laughing my *** off and I catch up to the GT and the driver's face was just priceless!!! Then he mouthed, 'holy ****, that car's fast!" and I just simply smiled and nodded.

Later, past Allen, the road cleared up a little so I slowed down find the GT driver and maybe talk to him. When I found him, he wanted to run again. Maybe he thought the traffic may have affected the previous runs with me. So we slow down to 50, and I shift to 3rd. Apparently, this kid doesn't know about the 3 honk thing as he just gunned it and I had to follow. So, we were even in my 3rd gear, probably because he started first. I powershift to 4th and I began to pull and the gap became larger. After all of it, we gave each other the thumbs up and went our separate ways.

Short version-
I race a GT twice and I beat him.
350Track comes, races GT, and rapes the **** out it.
I race the GT and I win again.

^New novel, I'm writing.. thought I'd share.

Sorry to post 3 times in a row, but Smoky, your rear tires look like they might hit the rear quarter panel if you hit a bump or went down a hill too fast. How wide are they?

Hey all, great meeting you. A couple of notes.

Dave - I think you've inspired me to get the NISMO body kit and wing. Now you have to inspire me to rob a bank to pay for it.

Robert - I talked to my father, who works at EDS. Seems you two have already met. He drives a silver Avalanche and parks near you. You were toweling off your car in the garage one day and the two of you had probably a 10 minute conversation about your car.

Holy crap! That was your dad. In a big company like this, that's a small world....very, very small world. Yep, I remember him.

Oh, about racing the Mustang. I pointed my finger and let him go first to give him the jump. Then I hit it after he did. I don't much turbo lag after putting test pipes on the car.

Hey Guys,

Had a great time and it was a pleasure meeting everyone.

I definitely am up for future meets.

Sorry to bug out, but had another engagement and was running late.

Next time I'm bringing a cooler with some drink.

I also think we should go somewhere where we will attract more attention.

I love it when people drive by or stop and wander.

They are flush with the fender line, but surprisingly it doesn't rub. Caveat...if I fly over a MAJOR dip in the road or take an uphill with a lot of speed then it may make contact. In fact, the only time I even barely grazed once was turning into my neighborhood... left turn, SUDDEN elevation change to uphill.

But on the flat turns she hasn't rubbed yet...and I've thrown her pretty hard and surprised myself (afterwards, naturally) that I didn't rub.

So, thx for the caution. But so far I think I'm good to go with no fender lip work. The Nismo S-Tune suspension doesn't make a huge drop, but the bound/rebound settings are spot-on. The body doesn't move much!

IdeaPimp: Go fer it man! No need to rob a bank. A couple liquor stores should cover a Nismo cat-back.

Cheers,
-Smoky

I am going to start the new thread for the next meet because Robert has "thread starting disorder"........let's try to narrow down a time and local at least a week before, i think thats why this one was good in that people had time to plan for it and it was on the board everyday for two weeks....

Yep, I have TSD "Thread Starting Disorder" probably because I'm afraid of the typical use the search feature or this thread is pointless comments that people always make....haha.

I'll try to take more video at the next meet.
