Had it a year exactly till some a$$hole stole it with 2 disc locks and 2 wheel locks. Now I'm debating the all new 07 gixxer but leaning more toward an 06. R1's need to regain some low/mid power like the earlier models IMO but their just so damn beautiful.

In my opinion the R1's have always been the best looking bikes. As for the acceleration, just gear it and problem solved.........cheaply too! -1 up front, +2 in the rear is the set up to go with on the 04 and newer models. This is what I have and couldn't be happier.

Damn ninja14, thats a big change from a ZX10 to ZX14. I put about a hundred fast miles on my friends new 10, I was very impressed with the whole package, it felt so tiny under me. Are the new bikes still limited to 186.{govt. BS}.

LoL, my progression on bikes has been somewhat abnormal.
I started on a TL1000s(stupid, I know)
then moved on to a ducati 900SS
then I purchased a ZX12r(2000 model w/o the limiter)
I traded the 12r in for a ZX10 b/c I wanted something more nimble(another sweet bike, just not as well putogether as the 12r, and not nearly as comforatable.)
the 10 was totalled(buddy backed his car into it) and insurance didn't give me jack for it, so I ended up getting a used (200 miles) 636 for a great deal(fealt I didn't need the power).
I got tired of the 636 really fast... I'm 6'4", and decided to get something that fits me and is comforatable to ride around on a daily basis... I was considering another 12r, but the 14 was just too good to resist(better in every way than the 12r)

Yeah, the 14 and 10 both had a limiter. I don't ride nearly as crazy as I used to, but have hit the limiter once on the 14(comes up really quick).
