What should I do w/my BASE stereo?
The stereo in my base Z is really weak. I thought that I could live with it but it's really getting on my nerves. It sounds like a portable AM radio. Any BASE owners out there who have replaced their stereo? I'm no sound guru and don't know much about it.
Should I just replace the speakers and maybe add an amp? I'm not looking for earth-shattering sound, just something with a little "oooomph!" in it. I've got about a $400 budget to work with if possible. Any suggestions or places to go (in Houston) would be much appreciated.

Shemp...
I've got the Enthusiast Model. I agree that the stereo could use a little Ooomph !
Got a young man who is a stereo installation specialist (is that the p.c. name?) looking into a small booster and new speakers.
I'm too old for that "blow out the bass's" sound, but I do like a little more body to my Barry Manilow Cd's. I too am in the $350-400 price range.
(just kidding about the Barry Manilow)
Will let you know what he comes up with...
