Default Abilene Zs

I can't not be the only Z owner in Abilene on the forums. I know there is a least 30 Zs in town. I'm interested in having a local meet if anyone but me would actually show up.

That's a start. My wife commutes to San Angelo M-F and some weekends. I'm game for anything. San Angelo is only an hour drive away.

Congratulations! I still have 12 years. Baby TSgt here. I'm stationed at Dyess and my wife is at Goodfellow. My wife retrained and AF needs came first. I look forward to meeting you.

Thanx for the compliment. I would be happy to head out your way for a meet. The trouble is most the meets I see posted are on weeknights. That really doesn't work with a 6hr round trip. If there is a weekend meet let me know. If you still have my phone number use it! Oh yeah, if you haven't read the classifieds lately, I just bought a set of NISMO cams. After that, spacer, TS flash, UTEC and JWT flywheel/clutch. I should be content at that point.

Rick,

Tourmaster of the Raging Bull Texas Stampede here. Pat who drives a black Z roadster is the owner of the 350 Roadster Club. He is an officer in Abilene (I think he's a Captain). He's a great guy. He has supported every Stampede and attended the first one (there is a video he made on our web site under the 1st Stampede links). He planned to attend the last Stampede but had to opt out at the last minute. You guys should get in touch. Go to 350Zroadsterclub.com and send him an email or email him at pat@350zroadsterclub.com. His alias on his web site is Pat and Admin. He would know several other Z owners in Abilene.

John

John,

Good to hear from you again. Let me know when the pics and videos are up from this years' event. I haven't seen Pat's car around lately,

Oh they should know, I tell every Z owner I meet in town or on base about the site. People around here are posers. They think because they drive a Z they're the great thing in the world. What makes the issue worse is that fact that most of the owners are military and we still can't get together. I would send out a base-wide e-mail calling out all the Z owners but, that would not go over well with the base CC.

You do know that the Dallas Z owners meet every 2 weeks and not every month, right? And we ALWAYS meet on the weekends. There's one next Saturday. Check the TX forums for more info.

Yeah, we always keep the DFW meets in mind. We were going to come the meet last week, but we promised our next door neighbor we would help with setting up for the annual block party. The 6hrs of driving and our ever busy lives usually keeps us closer to home. We find it sad that of 30-40 Zs around town/base that no one wants to do something locally.

Not a Z owner but I want to say hi I'm stationed in Abilene and my friend left the keys to his 2006 350z for me to take care of, while he is deployed. I have a 2000 Celica GT-S and 2006 Evo IX myself. I just joined here and like the wealth of info here maybe I can pass some info onto him when he get back since the car is new to him.
