Injen Cold Air Intake?
I'm thinking about investing in one of those Injen Cold Intake Systems. I've heard some performance figures that were just the other side of believable.
I've seen several different brands/styles with widely varied costs.
Wonder which one is the best bang for the buck?
Not that that bad boy needs more power but...you can NEVER have too much power (well, except maybe with George W.)
Suggestions? Thanks

I've been thinking about getting this too. It's been mentioned quite a bit on these boards. I wonder if it's difficult to install?
It's worth the money if it adds more of a roar to the Z's engine.
There's something about that "roaring" noise that's music to my ears. Hey Dave, let me know the next time you and the other Z's plan to get together in League City.

I've got one waiting for my car (it's STILL not here yet). I can let y'all know what the gains are after I get it installed, what it sounds like, and how difficult is it to install. If you want to know now, I believe Skidazzle did his own install--and I'm sure he'd be able to answer your questions.
Shemp,
will put up a night in the not-to-distant future, for a Z Cruise to League City. We'll park waaay down on the end, so as not to hurt the feelings of all the Corvette Owners that show up (maybe if we all wear BIG gold necklaces and braclets, we'll blend in a little better....NOT)
Hopefully, we can all meet out on I-45 somewhere (Hooter's/Luther's...just South of the Nasa 1 Exit?) and drive in en masse.
Cool....

I recently installed Ingen CAI. Its Fairly easy. It took me 2.5 hrs. You do not need to remove bumper cover. Performance? Well you WILL loose low end RPM but once you get going, its NICE. THere is not much difference in sound but I tell you what, It sure gave me and average of 4 miles to a gal. Don't worry, Just rev a little harder if your challanged, like around 22k RPM and drop it. I think in texas with summer comming soon I should get better performance due to the air drawn in from the front grill area instead of from engine compartment. I'm also in a process of modifiying this setup buy utilizing the factory air box ( better aor pressure) and a bell shaped ram air i;m designing myself. i'll let you guy know once complete. I live in coppell with a shop in Dallas near 35 and walnut. if you need some assistance in installation, I work for a hot bowl of Pho (noodles). Hehe.
By the way, I have Redline performance with Stillen grill. Beam me twice if any of you guys see me...
