Yeah, I think George swooped in for the kill and is going to buy it off him. Kicking myself now; should have waited until I saw it in the sun before deciding... Oh, well, you snooze, you lose...

There are meets posted up all the time; just keep an eye out for them. Also I think there are regular meets at Planet Zero Tuesday nights or something (for all cars, but several of the Z crew are regulars).

Thanks to everyone that showed up !!!...especially the Nextstage Guys !!!!
George, you and Junior are only worse when you're together...you guys were cracking me up...you 2 boyz B crayZ !!!

The Houston Food Bank profited handsomely due to everyone's generosity !

We had two Z's from the Austin Z Club and 2 Z's from the San Antonio Z Club...thanks for coming out...it's always great to have cars from our neighboring Z Clubs.
That's why several of us are planning on going up for the Round Rock Z Show next weekend.

For those of you that thought politics were involved...you couldn't be more wrong. Did you REALLY look at that Nismo Z?... I didn't think so.
You were in the daily driver class?...that's because we decided to move some cars around to try to make sure that as many cars as possible trophied. Sorry if we were trying to make everybody happy .

All in all, it was a great show...especially for the first show for the newly re-organized Z Club of Houston. Turnout was a little light, but then all the weathermen were predicting doom and gloom for Saturday....maybe that's why .

Everyone seemed to have a really good time....I know I did !
The Crowd seemed happy, the Houston Food Bank is happy, and most importantly, the dealership is happy...so....
Thanks again for everybody that came out !

I wanted to make it out also. I had plans to work on a relatives car that afternoon, and hadn't planned on attending but when my plans fell through it was already too late.

It was a really nice show. The members of that club were all mateur adults and were very social with everybody. All the rides were nice but my favorite was the silver N/A 350z with the Veilside kit...gave me some ideas of what route I wanted to go with my 06. I'm definitly considering to join.

Sony
06 Silverstone Enthusiast

By the way did anyone take pics of the rest of the Z's that were in the parking lot? I know I saw a lineup of every single color and mine was in there. Also did anyone notice that Lotus Elise?

Naw, it's all good; I had a blast. Thanks so much for putting it all together. You were quite the entertainer, too.

I figured that's the way it was with moving cars around to get trophied; that's cool.

I DID look at the Nismo Z (as you can tell from all the pics I took)... Brand new, dealer preped with Nismo options, Stillen rotors, totally stock under the hood. Couldn't tell what model it was; probably Enthusiast. Only thing that really set it off were the seats; those rocked. I just think there's something to be said for cars built by the owners who do all the work themselves compared to dropping the coin for a new car with a bunch of dealer options, but I guess there's no real way to judge for that; I've got alot to learn about showing cars, anyway. Not really complaining at all; just making observations. I was quite happy to get what I did.

I would not have minded not winning anything. I went mainly for support. From what I could tell, it was all judged on how clean the car was. My advise for the next one, like the attendees, judges should LOOK and not touch.

Yes, that Nismo Z was nice for a stock car, but I agree with Steve on something should be said about the owner building the car instead of buying all the options and taking delivery the day before.

+1

In fact I think It was real cool hanging out, no pressure to win or anything w/ great comraderie between everyone for the love of the car. Glad I came away w/ a trophy but it wasn't the main goal for the day. Not knocking Dave cause he did a hell of job, but I feel that the judges may have over done it. What's been done has been done though so I just have to just chalk it up to experience and hope for a change next year. Like I said before congrats to everyone cause all the cars deserved to win!

Wow, I beat that custom blue in the daily driver class? I'll have to buy a Titan now, I can't get my head inside my Z cabin anymore.

Yah, I dug the white stock with the seats, too. I believe that folks who do their own work are incredible. I envy their craftsmanship and sometimes even their taste. Those of us who are screwdriver-challenged appreciate the well-ordered dealer provided cars, also. It's all good.

Hey Dave, did EVERYbody win a trophy? Hope so. I'll try to make the meeting tomorrow night. You may have hooked me with that trophy bidness, you dog you. (You're SO obvious)

Maybe I came across as a little harsh...sure didn't mean to.
I whipped out that response just before leaving for work this evening.
Like you said..."It's all good"

The Lotus Elise in the parking lot....one of our female members...and she can DRIVE it too ! She has two Z's at home, but both of them were dirty (her excuse)...but we were still glad she was there

I have to agree with you guys...turning a wrench is worth way more points to me, than dropping a coin on a car...but then again...I wasn't judging.
Oh, and speaking of judging....
TruBlu...I have passed on your sentiments to our officers about the "technique" of the judging...and it has been duly noted for the next show.
The judges should NEVER actually get in your car...hopefully, it won't happen again.

If it ever gets through raining, maybe we can get a few more get-togethers before it gets cold-n-nasty !

Ha, you would like to see that huh? It was just my luck that the only raffle prize I won was a SMALL Nismo T-Shirt. Everyone got a good laugh out of that one. It was a good time!

Awesome pics! Most of those cars are ultra clean.

The DB Z is the second 350 I've seen with GTU's.
