Hey I was wondering if anyone in the Austin area ever takes their car to West2222? I'm fairly new to Austin and I am already in love with this road. It really shows what our cars can do!
Awsome man, when I was in UT, my friend and I used to take his sylvia to 2222, there is street name I think it was called City Ln or just City. It's an awsome road. Lot of curves and turns. Only thing is there is no road guard, so if you don't be careful, you could fall. Lot of deer too at night times.

It's a curvy mountain road and the scenery is awesome. I see lots of sport bikes and cars on it when I go. Last time there were 2 lotuses goin at it. You guys should check it out.

2222 is great, just watch out for cops, especially at the steep hill about 1/3 the way between mopac and 360. The street bangooface is talking about is City Park, the first street on the left once you pass 360 on 2222, heading away from Mopac. And the road isn't the greatest.
Also try, Lime Creek, you'll hear about it, if not now, sometime I'm sure. 1431 is also great like 2222, but just farther to get to.
I'm with Solid, who wants to go for a drive this Sat? =)

Check out Volente....its at the end of 2222 if I'm not mistaken. When you get down to the end (at Volente beach), hook a right and head down there. Be careful though. Alot of bikes take those twisties pretty fast and you don't wanna hit em.
Directions from 360. Take 2222 West (Bull Creek). Go across light at 620...make sure you are in the left lane to go straight. Bull Creek T's at the end, take a left to get into Volente. Take a right when you get to beach. Road T's onto Lime Creek. Take a left. This T's into 1431. Take a left. Go to next light (5 miles or so). Take a right. This is Nameless rd. Take it all the way to 183. If you don't take a right on Nameless, you can end up in Marble Falls, then take 281 North (Right) to 29 East (Right) then back to 183.
This is all a very popular route with many of the Car clubs. I recommend using caution and obey all speed laws.

speak for yourself....i drag a knee everytime I go down that road.
That road is amazing. I test drove my z32 on that road and had to have it after the rush of driving it on that road. I rarely get out there these days but I used to drive it at least once a month when I first moved to Austin. Just be careful though as there are lots of bikes out there and often gravel/sand on the road that will severly limit grip in places.
