Question Stonegate Apmts?

Does anyone or has anyone lived in the Stonegate Apartments in South Austin off of 35? I am this close to moving there and I just wanted to see what you thought/think of it.

sorry, not sure then. There is another Stone-something down on Stassney a friend use to live in. 35S to Stassney...turn right and go down about 2 miles (think you pass 4-5 lights)...its on the left and has a light in front of it just for turning into the complex (no public road - only complex driveway). Flats and townhome units...pretty nice and good price. Think they were built 3 years ago or so.

I think StoneGate Apartments are ghetto no matter the city or state. It's like an unwritten rule. Crack dealers would sell in broad daylight at the StoneGate apts. in Augusta, GA.

different owners and developers choose very similar names for alot of different properties in different cities. One stone gate in one city maybe a completely different owner/developer in another city. Just FYI

Hey no offense, but STOP RENTING!!!! Man every dollar you spend in rent is blown away! Go buy something!!!!! A $120,000 home equates to like a $700 rent! Don't mean to lecture you, but I was a Landlord in MD and I couldn't understand why people don't buy and waste money in rent.

I actually was engaged and we owned $130k home, rent was about $1200 a month, not 700, and I just dont want a house right now, more utility bills, lawn to mow, etc, etc, after my year lease I may start looking into houses again..

+1. Might as well put your money to use instead of throwing it away on someone else's mortgage.

I'm not saying buy the home you will die in, but if you bought a nice little fixer upper, then when you are ready to buy more, either rent that one and buy bigger or sell it and 9 times out of ten get all of your mortgage payments back for the bigger home. I don't like to preach, but renting is like leasing a car to buy it?!?!?! Why would you?

Also you get the tax benefits at the end of the year too, where when you rent you don't
