Okay, on my Z I have a carbon fiber V1 lip and it is painted magnetic black. The problem that I'm having just happened this afternoon. I was parking my Z in front of my grandparents house and there neighbors dog got loose from the owners and ran across the street. So while I was parking the dog ran in front of my Z and I had to react really fast, to bad that missing the dog means my bumper hitting the curb. My V1 lip got really scratched up in about the size of 1X2...It scratched the paint all the way back down to the carbon fiber but it looks like it also cracked the lip!!! I'm not sure if I can just fix the lip like a normal piece of the car and get a body shop man to put some bondo on it and fix it up and repaint it...My stepdad will do this for me but I can't ask him right now b/c he is out of town...PLEASE HELP!!!

I was so pissed that I did this but I'm glad the dog is okay....

 

Well somthing like that happend to me and i just bought a brand new bumber and nismo lip, because i hate knowing that my car was ****ed up, just a little, so when ever any thing happend to my car i would just get a new piece i geuss its your choice if you have the money or not,

 

carbon fiber peices can be fixed like any fiberglass peice, but you must paint it.

 

Yeah, if it's already painted, just have the crack fixed up and repaint; no big deal. Where people run into trouble is with cracked unpainted CF; nothing that can be done about that if you want to keep the CF look.

 

Yeah the lip is already painted the same color of my Z...So I'm glad to her that it can be fixed just like any ordinary piece on the car...So I will get it fixed and repainted...I was thinking about buying the whole nismo kit but it would just be cheaper for me to get the lip fixed since my stepdad can do it for free....
