Well I'd love to do it myself, Because I like doing everything myself. But my back has been acting up a whole lot from a car wreck I had a few years back. To the point where I have to walk with a cane. Which doesn't do a 25 yr old any justice. So I think I'd rather pay someone to do this one.

most stereo shops that have custom installers can do the prep work on the consoles and then you just take it to a good paint shop for the paint and clear coats.

The best result I have seen was from a stereo shop. They sanded it smooth and then gel coated it then applied the paint and several layers of a clear coat. The dash was flawless.

Your in houston.. Your lucky!! Call a few body shops with the phone book.. The places that are awesome are DODGE COUNTRY BODY shop or dealerships.. Why you ask? Because they perfectly paint match, how you ask? Because they bake the paint into the material/body, I know because they painted my car front and back bumper/spoiler and it came out ****ing flawless!! Go with a dealership bro!

Dealership is probly the worst place to go. Try some of the shops that paint old muscle cars or classics.

Thanx man. I actually have an Auto Tranny. But I ran across a thread today of some people putting the MOMO shifter w/the boots. Don't know if I like it yet. But I love the shifter. Just don't know if I wanna pay 100 bucks for it.
