Austin meets?
Hi guys! Just checking in from the S2000 side of the world...
Are you guys planning any more get togethers anytime soon? I'd love to join you, since I just bought a Nissan to keep my S2000 company, albeit a Murano. I love it! Nissan has done a lot to keep my interest in the last few years when all of the other manufacturers are getting more and more blase.
Please make sure to ping us over at our site over on S2000 Atlanta to let us know of upcoming events! I'm also working on a tour series this summer too, so I'll make sure to let you guys know about our events too.
Thanks for keeping us in mind!

Another S2000 owner checking in...I'd be interested in attending periodically, though my schedule doesn't permit going weekly. For the next one, is it Tues. the 20th or Thurs the 22nd. Your day and date don't jive w/ my calendar.
FWIW, here are my preferences....Thurs. works better for me. Given the typical inability of parties to show up all at the same time, it often works better for these types of gatherings to pick a place where you order at a counter and seat yourself. Places like Fuddrucker's on Anderson on EZ's on N. Lamar come to mind...I really dig Cheddar's as well, but every time I've been there's a wait - not sure how that would work w/ a group coming and going at diff. times.
Oh yeah, drives are even better!

Yeah Chris, I realized that about the different arrival times after planning this last one. It all worked out well though, but if we had more, it could be a problem. Also, the wait was OK, because we got to hang out outside and talk and check the cars out. We just got lucky last time though. I didn't know there was a "next time" planned, had I said something? lol. I've got to figure something out, things have been busy for me, and been going out with friends a lot and doing a lot of stuff. Ran that 5k this weekend, among other things.
Sondra S2k, nice to have you here. We'll definitely drop you a line the next time we have a meet. This Wednesday a few of us are going to River City Raceway to hit the dragstrip for a bit of fun. I need to show these guys how a 13 second bone stock run is made
Thursdays were my initial choice Chris, but some people voiced that Tuesday would be better that particular week. Tuesdays and Thursdays were what always came to mind. Mondays and Fridays nobody would show up. There is always the weekend thing also, so feel free to comment on that folks.

OK, the 22nd of this month, a Thursday. Where do we want to try this time? Chris is very right, a self seating place is optimal. How about Rudy's on 360, down by Barton Creek mall? We could go to Rudy's up North also, but I thought something more south might be a change some would like? Doesn't have to be Rudy's either. I don't like EZ's parking situation (less of a problem for you guys for bike nights, big problem for lots of Zs wanting to park together). North 183 Rudy's has the parking advantage. We could always park the perimeter of the gas station at the 360 Rudy's. I like places right off major roads, so the only Fuddruckers that come to mind are there at Mopac and 360 on the south side, and the one way up North on 35, near where 1325 hits 35.
Let me know ASAP what your picks are for the restaurant. 6:30 is the time I am going to go with again, but people can show up later if you can't make it then, and it won't be a problem if we pick a seat yourself place.
Also, nobody brought wives/girlfriends, etc last time. Is that how you all want to keep it, or did we just have a bunch of social losers last time?
I certainly have no problem with bringing the other halves. The girl I am starting to see (the fabled Estonia girl) is still out of town until the 24th, but you can bet your butt she'll want to come when we have the one after this one, she loves the Z.Lets try and decide quickly, so we can let the S2000 folks know that want to come. Any other groups of cool enthusiasts are welcome to be invited if you guys have some friends from other msg boards.

I will most likley miss this meet, the Z will be in the shop getting the car audio installed. As for the other halves I don't see a reason why we should not bring them along.

Rob,
My perspective, FWIW, is that Rudy’s/Fudd’s on 360 is further south than I’d likely go on a reg. basis. How about something more central? There’s a Fuddruckers on Anderson Lane, and if you really insist on it being on a major road, there’s one on 35 just N. of 290. Central Market on N. Lamar is another idea…
The 183 Rudy’s would also be good, but that might limit participation from the southside contingent (if there is one…seems like most of us live on the north side of town)

I'm at 1100 miles on my 350Z right now, about 100 miles shy of break-in. When is it safe to take it to the track?
Also, I'll have to wait until the meet after this one to attend. I've got family in town for graduation! Hooray to no more engineering school!

I will decide on these two choices by this evening so speak now or forever hold your peace (is that the line, sounds weird in type?)
Either of those is fine by me.
No-one South responded last time because it was too far North perhaps? Cheddars is WAY out of the way for me.
A good Central location in the future really would be the best. Fuddruckers on Anderson, Waterloo on North Burnet, and Hooters on Anderson have always been traditional car meet locations.
