uptown is also good place

 

if youre not white dont, go to midtown (red door, pub fiction etc.) on the weekends. racist.

 

^^ my wife n I go to those places....friends too...none of which are white (except me).

 

we were at a little bar called Light House or something a few saturdays back and decided to head over to Pub Fiction. i understand if it was just a bunch of dudes, but we had about 7 women with us (lookers btw) and they stilled denied one of my friends entry for not wearing the correct "boots". (he had on a pair of $400 gucci boat shoes with white soles.) thats one incident.

at red door they turned away my uncle for having frayed jeans. his excuse; "i dont want you dragging you jeans across the floor." haha wtf, is this dude serious?! never again.

 

Chrome, Drink Houston (mix crowd & music), and those are my only 2 favorite places in Houston =]

 

just needed to grease the door guy. red door has this complaint often, jeans dragging. just have to know someone or cough up a little change at the door.

 

the only time i tip the door guy is when theres a huge line. i usually dont go to these places so i wouldnt really know anyone working the door or otherwise. its cool though, dont plan on going back anytime soon.

to get back on topic, Roc Bar/Mosaic is pretty awesome.

I feel you....one guy wouldn't let me into a club off of Sage between Hildago and Alabama. We ate next door at the sushi restaurant then walked over to the club in the same strip center. Guy said I couldn't get in with my helmet (I was on my Gixxer 750). One guy made a comment that my shirt wasn't good enough (which I find to be insulting). I was wearing a $250 Prada shirt (no t-shirt mind you, two snaps/buttons with a collar), AX jeans, Kenneth Cole shoes....nothing too shabby. Definitely not biker clothes. They just wanted a hand out. So I took the ladies I brought with me and went to buddha lounge just down the street. I left at 3am....drove by the club and see the door guy chasing some guy in a car. The door guy was on foot. I pulled into the parking lot cuz he was flagging me down at this point. I stop, he said he was jacked and needed my phone. I told him "you gotta have a helmet to use my phone.....oh and your shirt ain't good enough". lmfao.


The universe tends to balance itself out.

 

I've been up and down Midtown plenty of times either in a group or with me and a couple of lady friends. Never had a Problem except for one place. I'm hispanic and I know no one from any club. I'm always hopping around to get to know anyone that works for those places. But I did have a problem at Red Door becuz I was wearing a suit with an A/X t-shirt under my jacket. I thought it was a BULLS**T CAll and the guy standing next to him pulled me to the side and told me that for $30 He will let me in.

I have better places to go.........
