Thats point right there. Give some upgrades to a same trim Z and let it go up against a nismo z and see where things stand. I think that gives us a better idea of how good those extra upgrades are.

nope. Only GT, but all the features on the NISMO match the Enthusiasts.

lol, whatever makes you guys sleep at night for overpaying for a 350Z. for that kind of price might as well get a c6 vette.....and dont even act like when one drives past you, you dont stare at it.

ive seen better body kits on a Kia.

^ The Nismo 350Z is what the Track model should have been all along. Sorry many can't drive one to realize that.

The car might still be a Z, but like it says, no Z can compare to it in the handling department. Stop thinkng it's a overpriced Z when in reality it isn't, its a hell of a bargain.

Unless you are running some type of boost, your car is not faster than a HR 350Z. Dream on my friend.

And please explain how the NISMO is a overpriced Z? All these items would cost you 10k+ to add to a normal Z. And this car is only 38k, a GT is around 36-37k.

Two notes just to keep things in perspective...

1) A Nismo has a stock 306hp engine, and a special tuned exhaust. Unless he is stock why should he "dream on" ? Intake, spacer, exhaust and he is making pretty close to what that nismo is making. Racing is 70% driver/30% car

2) If the Nismo is a tuned up Enth. level Z then how about you use that as a price base when putting out cost? 38k Nismo, and 28-29k Enth. (Invoice being 27,400... and it would be easy to get a good deal on a rim level outside the limited production Nismo which you could very well be paying over the 38k MSRP)

I have yet to see Z's run low 13s at 105-107 stock, or modded for that matter with just bolt ons. Bolt ons with the older engine do not help that much unless it's a REV-UP with MREV kit.

Enth go for around 31k, not 28-29k.

Brembos, 18,19" Forged Rays NISMO wheels, Bodykit (which costs like 1500 for the front and rear bumper each, sides not sure, torsion dampers no idea, seam welds (way to expensive), suspension, extra welds on the suspension, seats, # of authentication, extra bracing under the hood, etc.

But like I said, look at the 1/4 times, the older engines just can't touch the HR. I have ran a few heavy bolt on Z's, and beat them all in my stock HR.

If you guys know Renee Hayden (yellow Ann Z), she has known me for years. She will be coming down here in January for a Harris Hill event, and asked to drive my car. I am going to let her on the track with it. Let her tell you how it handles.

Well the guy you were calling out has a Touring 2005 which (and i could be very wrong) if i do recall correctly has a rev up engine with 300hp base? My post was more a focus on the performance... a body kit will not make you faster, and if anything since we are talking about adding weight to the car you are actually going to be a step slower. The rims are the same unless they are lighter? And even at that you can go out and get a nice looking set of lightweight rims for a good price.

If you are paying 31k for an enthusiest than you are paying too much for the car my friend... www.edmunds.com

All in all the Nismo Z I will say is a sweet looking Z. I am not here to bash it... but I dont like the idea that it needs to be put on a higher level than any other Z hands down. It just depends what you want out of your Z, and lets be honest.... how many of those Nismo's are you going to see on the autoX track? Few... but again its a nice (limited) trim of Z, and in its own right demands praise from us in the aftermarket crowd for Nissan having this done in the first place.(even if it wasnt in house at Nismo per that video from edmunds)

Edit - sorry about the rambling post here, but I think I got my point in here someplace
