I bet you with equal drivers a stock evo mr. Will beat if not whoop any year of 350z from a dig and from a roll. Same goes for an sti. The only difference is my year of sti is the most powerful and has the best gearing.

Do you really not get that the top end on a z isnt all that great. If not even good. My sti stock would take out my z with every bolt on except headers from a roll and especially a dig.

haha turbo is the shize, but really the stock turbo on the sti is small enough to where I can get full boost from any rpm very quickly.

Do you have a quarter mile time-slip?

im just stating what is generally known... top end of evo's and sti's arent great, actually horrible considering thier 1/4 time. stock for stock a Z should walk away from an evo or sti... around a track there was a car and driver article where the Z won by 1 second. The 2005+ gets bigger tires. your saying what your saying compared to a 2003/4 model ehh? compare those to a horrible top end of a evo 8. 2005+ against a evo9 and sorry... the Z wins. not saying everytime cause there are horrible drivers. but no you cant make such a blanket statement that 350z loses in all departments to an evo or sti. would you like me to find you the online copy of the article?

I agree. I test drove an 05 STI before I bought the 350z. Crazy acceleration but I loved it. Probably the fastest stock car I've driven (sad I know). It feels so dangerous to drive.

Good reading there!

I think I've seen this before in another magazine as well, with similar results...

Anyways, thank for the link!

stis run what 13.0 flat in the quarter mile stock with a superb driver. I my self am a horrid drag racer, but occasionally can get a good launch. I like road courses so thats what I do. And yeah sti/ evo top in sucks the ****. But still I walk away from bolt on 350zs, g35s and even the new 07 hr. Trust me all an sti needs is a tbe and the top end is so much better. Around a track im sorry, but I dont believe things I read in a magazine, I guarantee you put the same driver in a 2007 sti and a 2007 350z and the sti will run better times. And I didnt say all departments, I said the 350z looks better, and g35s really do.

2007s are even better. Bigger hotside on the turbo vf43 instead of vf39.
