hey guys i need your opinion. Im getting ready to order some rims. They are 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the back. What i need help is deciding which tires to get. Im going to use my stock fronts (225/45/18) just for now. But i need help deciding which size to get for the rears. Im looking for something beefy but not crazy lol. I like the way daves is setup. The rims are the kyowa 628s.
Checked out those wheels. I would suggest going with something at least 10" wide in the back but if your heart is set on these with 9" on back try and get the one with +21 offset. That way you do not have to buy spacers for them. If you do, then, they might just be 5-10mm and on 25-30mm. The fronts only come with a +38 so they'll be tucked in. Get yourself some 30mm spacers and they'll sit flush with the fenders. On a 9" rim on back they do not recommend 285s so 275 would be your best bet. I like the look of the wheels. You could also do 9" front and back.
hey is anyone running plenum spacers? i need to get rid of the strut bar to put 1/2 inch spacers????????? any tips in that?
I'm running a 5/8 spacer (thicker than 1/2") and I can't use my OEM strut bar. I would have to buy and aftermarket strut bar or add washers plus longer bolts and bang/cut my hoods supports where it hits the strut bar (no biggie). I'm doing it this weekend end. I'll let you all know if it works.

The 350Z will accept any spacer size but the strut bar will only fit with the 5/16" spacer. If the strut bar is not needed, maximum peak power can be made with the MD ½" spacer. The 1/2" plenum spacers added induction growl is deeper and louder. The induction sound becomes more like a V8 engine.
I ended up going with a Skunk2 spacer. Got a good deal on it. Who can vouch for the sound
usually on muscle cars you will see a high compression like 13:1 cuz the higher the compression te more power it outputs ........ but with the higher compression the unlikely you will be able to run the car with any supercharge or turbo charge ..... when you lower the compression to say the 8.8:1 that you read you are able to boost more but the motor itself will not make as much power if not for the boost your adding..... if you boost a high compression engine you will blow sh*t up...... example im running 9:1 compression and can boost at a much higher level than the stock block with 10:1
