I found this hotel which is ok by its reviews. only good thing is that the hotel is dead center of everything. take a look
http://www.sakura-hotel-ikebukuro.co...l_location.php
about 70.00 a night which averages to about 1850.00, more or less, with round trip tickets included. $$$1800.00-2200.00 seems to be the norm on pricing. I need to search and see if I can find any more package deals.

hey there mike! does your friend have any recommendations as far as places to see while there, or any info for setting up a package?
I still need to check out your ride in person!

You definitely need to go to a Super GT race while you are there. For night time entertainment pay a visit to Kabukicho

that hotel is not in the middle of everything, its kinda on the northwest side of tokyo, i think u can do better. Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku is only $100 a night and its in shinjuku. check out hotels.com and tripadvisor.com, i use tripadvisor and start at the the top of the list and work my way down till i find an affordable hotel that gets good reviews. word of caution, the rooms are small, dont expect something large and comfortable, but are u really gonna be spending any time in the room other than to sleep anyways?

hey Chrispy,
Thanks for the website tripadvisor.com very useful. Has alot of good values in it and reviews so anyone can check in and read about other peoples experiance.
Been thinking about possibly going in early march for about two weeks. Talked it over with some friends, they arent sure they can make it. Anybody else interested in coming along?

Found this link on how to use the railway in japan. Pretty straight forward and simple. No different than the ones in mexico.
Just make sure you check the correct time and name of the location desired.
