The other factor is there is a nice small Woodlands meet that I meet up with. Older crowd though. But nice to see some ACR's and ZR1s.

Those sizes would be good if you went with 40 series tires and the right drop

Stretch also depends on the tire and your opinion.

A nankang ns2 is gonna have a smaller section width than say a dunlop re050. some tires of the same size give more rim poke than others, depends if u want poke or stretch or both.

Never really liked the stretched look. Guess that's why they call me old school.

285/30/18s on some 9.5s

255/30/18s on some 8.5s

you should be fine...245 wont stretch too bad on 10.5"...like cornell said it depends on the section width of tire...you should be fine though...

nooooooooo... they won't stretch too much... my R-compounds (quite wider than regular tires) 275/40 don't bulge on a 9.5" rim... with a 245 on a 10.5 you'll have at least 1 1/4" less from thread and 1" more in wheel to fill...

I'm with old school... better function and protection from potholes with "normal" look.
Houston doesn't have the perfect asphalt you'd find on the japanese roads.

Im running 245.40 on a 10" wide wheel and the stretch is nothing extreme...running the 245.45 should be fine on 10.5"

besides what wheels did you decide to go with?
