Angry Do not buy from baker nissan!

I recently purchased a new vehicle via e-mail due to me working in Iraq. When my wife went to pick it up the VPP price increased by over $1,700+! I e-mailed Brad Baker back in April and have yet still to received any response on anything.

Brad,

I woke up this morning and talked to wife to find out that the VPP price Jessie and I had agreed on had gone up considerably. I came with what I wanted; 2011 Murano LE AWD with; Nav, mats and splash guards. The price that was agreed on was $38,987.98, plus $500 for transfer from another dealer, $39,487.98. Total with TTL was $43,362 with NMAC financing of 72 months at 2.9% APR.

I'm being told that the vehicle sold $41,800 with accessories. Accessories added are; Splash guards ($130), Floor/cargo mats ($195), Nav ($1,850), Roof rails ($195), Rear bumper protector ($100), delivery ($750, $250 more than agreed upon). Apparently unwanted tint was added also. So, $41,800 minus $39,487.98 is, $2,312.02. Subtract the roof rails and bumper protector, $295, and the extra $250 for transfer that leaves; $1,767.02. So where/what is the extra $1,767??? Also what is Protection Plus ($299)? Wife explained that InTire ($315) covers tire and wheels protection?

I was also told that wife would just have to come in and sign some paper work, have the all the accessories explained throughly and she would be on her way. We were under the impression that this would only take at most an hour, not spending four hours. She made an appointment to be there at 3:00pm and everything should have been ready. I have to say I am not happy right now and would like everything explained to me please.

Thank you!

V/R
~Robert

Read the email. Common dealer crap, RK. They love to try and sneak one by you. And most of their protection packages are worthless. Most of them are scotch-guard kinds of sprays they put on the car at the dealer. Refuse to pay for them next time. Same thing on the tint.

Hope Baker steps up to resolve. Funny how that amount is a real close to target gross per unit for most dealerships...while preferred pricing they don't make much on. Figures.. *sigh*

Dude, this is an absolute atrocity ! Here you are out of the freakin' country ....serving our country !....and they have the Gall to pull this BS !

I would be calling and emailing everyone you can to get this back to the finalized price you both agreed on. I beg you that the Sales guy " Brad " doesn't even work there anymore.

I hope you get this situation resolved.

You guys Rock ! I always will give any US serviceman a huge amount of respect for your dedication to this country. Job well done Sir !

I used carsdirect.com when I bought my Z. Took me about 20 minutes with the dealer when I went to pick it up. All I had to do was a few signatures and show proof of insurance and I was good to go.

i didnt mean that in an offensive way. i respect our military and understand they arent just over there to "blow peoples heads off". Im just making a point that the people in our military are not people I would want to **** with. I think yall are doing a great job and was just poking fun at the dealer for being a *****.

Waiting on a check to be mailed to my wife. I was originally contacted for my purchase from Tom Peacock and e-mailed Brad to give him my business. My complaint lies within the financing dept and lack of commutation once I pointed out a concern. If the increase was justifiable I wanted it to be explained. It wasn't and Brad is "refunding" the difference. I feel it still could've been handle better. These are my concerns/complaints and you (future customer) have to make a judgement yourself wether to give/continue business with Baker Nissan

I had a not so good experience with Baker Nissan service. Last year I went in to get my car serviced. I was late for bringing it for a 90K service at 98k. They told me that theres another service at 105k. So I said do the 105k service and include what was supposed to be done at 90k. In the end, they wanted to charge me for both services. $1600! I paid the store manager $700 and told them that they better watch their service reps, because they are trying to overcharge people.
Since then, I only go to Sterling Mccall Nissan. They are military friendly and I get the best prices on parts in Houston.

I keep hearing more and more good reviews/comments from Sterling McCall Nissan. If I'm in the market for another Nissan I might have to make the trek down to them.

You're talking about the Baker Jackson on 290?

The asian finance guy there is a total ******!!!! I was helping a friend of mine buying a Versa there. They originally wanted 20k BEFORE ttl for a base model with power windows and locks added. Any ways the asian finance guy was creating more issues with me. He was telling my friend how I am a liar and told her that I'm an "agent" for the sales guy trying to make a extra buck.

He wouldn't let her leave until she buy the protection plan. Even though she paid off two cars and a house he said if she don't get it all shes approved for is 10.99% but if she gets the protection plan she will be lowered to 6.75%, but whats the point it's an additional $2400. I called him out on it that hes just trying to keep his bonus on it.
He actually broke it down how the commission works to me. All the protection plan does is total BS, 65% of the protection plan is his commission pays, on top of charging a higher apr.

Another thing that dawned on me, a couple years ago the same asian guy worked under me as a T mobile sale rep. He got fired because he was scamming people and stealing their social to open lines to pump up his numbers. I would never ever buy anything there much less from that ******!
